The Cybex has recently released a wide range of strollers for every kind of lifestyle. One of their all-terrain models in the new collection is the Eternis M3 which rolls on three foam-filled wheels, has a one-hand compact fold, and weighs only 19 lbs. This is the lightest all-terrain stroller in the Cybex M line.
Despite the low weight, it is full of great features like a large canopy, adjustable handlebar, large basket, all-wheel suspension, flip-flop-friendly brake, and very roomy seat.
The seat has a deep almost flat recline suitable for a newborn and can accommodate a child up to 55 lbs. Like all M models, it can be converted into a travel system or a pram. You can remove the seat completely and use a frame only.
This is a serious competition for the popular Baby Jogger City Mini GT. I think this model will be a big hit among parents since there are not that many all-terrain strollers with a one-hand compact fold.
If you prefer to have four wheels instead of three, Cybex has you covered with their Eternis M4 model which is identical to M3 except it rolls on four wheels. I personally don’t see a big difference in performance between three and four wheels, but there are many parents who prefer to have an extra wheel for more stability.
OVERALL
I gave it 5 out of 5 stars because this is one of the BEST all-terrain strollers on the market right now. You really can’t beat the one-hand compact fold and the low weight of only 19 lbs.
The design of the stroller is very sleek and modern. It’s almost perfect. The only thing I would add is a magnetic closure to the mesh panel in the canopy. I would also like it to work with the most popular car seats instead of just Cybex car seats.

Features
CANOPY
The large three panels of canopy go all the way down to the bumper bar providing plenty of coverage. One of the panels is made out of dark mesh which provides shade while improving air circulation.
Since there is no peekaboo window you can use the dark mesh panel to look at your child. I wish there was a mesh cover for when it gets windy.
SEAT
The seat is 13.5″ wide with a 20″ seat back and a measurement of 26″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy. As you can see, the seat is a little wider and the canopy is a little higher than Cybex Balios M which has a reversible seat. Your taller toddler will have no problem fitting in.
The seat has a strap recline system and goes to almost a flat position suitable for a newborn. You will need one hand to recline the seat and both hands to bring it back.
If you want to put a young baby into the seat, I would recommend using an infant insert for additional support. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs.
HARNESS
It has an adjustable padded 5-point harness with a center release buckle. The good news is that the waist straps are connected to the shoulder straps so there are no puzzle pieces. Very easy to lock and unlock.
HANDLEBAR
The telescoping handlebar goes from 37″ up to 42″ from the ground. Great for taller and shorter parents.
BUMPER BAR
INCLUDED! It comes with a nice swing-away removable bumper bar.
BASKET
The basket is large but is a little harder to access than Cybex Balios M because of the lower position of the seat and the crossbar.
You will be able to fit a larger diaper bag in it plus some small essentials. I wish it had an expendable back panel so it would be easier to access the basket.
BRAKE
The flip-flop-friendly brake is always a big plus in my book!
WHEELS
It rolls on three never-flat foam-filled hard rubber wheels with 8″ in the front and 11.5″ wheels in the back. The front double wheel is swivel but can be locked in place for rougher terrain.
These all-terrain wheels are designed to handle any kind of terrain. Great for long walks at the park or city streets with uneven sidewalks. It can handle grass, mulch, or gravel with ease.
Like all Cybex M models, the Eternis M3 has all-wheel suspension.
FOLD/UNFOLD
Another great feature that ALL Cybex M models have is the ONE-HAND FOLD. This is the type of fold all parents are looking for. All you need to do is to pull on two straps located in the middle of the seat and the stroller will fold in half. Easy!
The fold is compact and there is an automatic lock and standing fold. This is very convenient especially when using public transit. You can hold your child in one hand and fold the stroller with the other.
The folded dimensions are 29.5″L x 23″W x 16.5″H. Despite having only three wheels, the Eternis M3 is a little less compact than the Eternis M4 because of the longer frame design.
BASSINET
You can turn your stroller into a stylish pram by replacing the seat with a matching bassinet called Cybex Carry Cot M. It features a comfortable, extra-wide mattress that ensures an ergonomically correct and comfortable lying position.
The integrated UVP50+ sun canopy protects from sun, wind, and rain. The carrycot weighs only 8 lbs and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 20 lbs. It works with ALL Cybex M models. How great is that?
TRAVEL SYSTEM
You can also convert your stroller into a travel system by using it with one of the Cybex infant car seats. You can put the car seat on top of the main seat without removing it, or you can remove the seat completely and put the car seat right into the frame.
I like the look of the Cybex infant car seat with just the stroller frame. Now, as much as I like Cybex car seats, I wish it would work with other popular brands.
Cons
-No mesh window closure. The large mesh panel is a big plus, but I wish it had a closure in case it’s windy, rainy, or sunny.
-Works only with Cybex car seats. I wish it would work with other popular car seats. While the Cybex car seats are at the top of my list, they are a little pricey. So it might be hard to afford for parents who are on the budget.
