Top 10 Baby Strollers for 2014

best_strollers_2014k

If you are feeling overwhelmed stroller shopping process you are not alone. Many parents feel lost because there are a lot of great models on the market. Every year there are many new releases that raise the bar for a modern stroller and 2014 is not an exception.

I’ve already written an article on some of the cool new strollers that will be coming out later this year, but I also wanted to put together a list of top strollers that you can get RIGHT NOW.

Not all of them are brand new, some of them were released a while ago but still hold their spot. I will be updating this list as the year goes by and new strollers come out. Of course, they have to meet my high standards first before making it to my special top 10.

All of the strollers below are high quality and very practical. For me, it’s important for the stroller to have a large canopy, deep recline, adjustable handlebars, adjustable leg rest, large basket, additional storage, travel system capability, price, and most importantly lightweight.

1. Mamas & Papas Armadillo – $250

mamas-papas-armadillo-stroller

This is absolutely my favorite stroller right now! It’s a lightweight modern-looking stroller that created a big splash in the stroller industry. It weighs only 17 lbs but has the capability to convert into a travel system.

It’s full of luxury features like a large canopy with a sunvisor, roomy seat, deep one-hand recline, adjustable leg rest, large basket, flip-flop friendly brake, and all-wheel suspension. I really like the one-hand compact fold.

The small footprint makes it great for an urban lifestyle. The City Mini and Britax B-Agile have a serious competition here! The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs. The Armadillo retails for $250 on Amazon and comes with a rain cover. Here is my detailed review »

2. Bumbleride Indie – $530

best_strollers_2014_1

The Indie is one of the most popular joggers on today’s market. I love this stroller because it is full of great features like a HUGE canopy, adjustable footrest, adjustable handlebar, deep recline, large easy-to-access basket, and easy fold. The seat is made out of bamboo-nylon eco-friendly fabric that is very easy to clean.

The air-filled all-terrain tires can tackle any terrain providing a smooth ride. Weighing ONLY 20 lbs, this is the lightest jogging stroller that is full of luxury features. It has a travel system capability and can convert into a pram with the purchase of an additional bassinet.

The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 45 lbs. It retails for $530 and comes with a car seat adapter, a cup holder, and a bumper bar. Read my full review »

3. BOB Motion – $320

best_strollers_2014_2

The Motion model was a pleasant surprise from BOB company which usually specializes in joggers. It’s an all-terrain stroller that rolls on four air-filled tires. The state-of-the-art suspension system found usually only on joggers will provide your child with an extra smooth ride.

The maneuverability on Motion is superb! Parents love it for great features like a roomy seat, adjustable handlebar, huge canopy, deep recline, and one-hand fold. You can really take it anywhere: a long walk in the park, a store, or a doctor’s office.

It weighs only 23 lbs and has a travel system capability. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 76 lbs (basically till college. LOL.) It retails for around $320 and comes with a car seat adapter. Here is my detailed review »

4. Britax B-Agile – $230

britax-b-agile-stroller

The B-Agile is one of the most popular strollers that has been staying on my top 10 list for a while. It’s hard to beat this lightweight compact stroller that has all of the features of a regular stroller.

It looks exactly like my favorite City Mini, but is even better! I know, it’s hard to believe. It has a huge canopy, roomy seat, deep recline, large basket, and all-wheel suspension. More importantly, it weighs ONLY 16 lbs and has that amazing one-hand fold.

You can totally have your child in one hand and fold the stroller with the other. I also really like the material of the seat which is made out of high quality easy-to-clean fabric. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. It retails for around $230.  Read my full review »

5. Baby Jogger City Mini GT – $245

best_strollers_2014_4

This is an upgraded version of City Mini. It has an amazing huge canopy with two peekaboo windows (it’s that big!), an adjustable handlebar, a deep recline, a roomy padded seat, a hand brake, and my favorite easy one-hand fold.

The forever-air tires and front-wheel suspension provide a smooth ride absorbing a lot of bumps. The maneuverability on GT is FANTASTIC. It is really a one-hand stroller.

Weighing only 21 lbs, GT has all the features of a luxury stroller for a reasonable price. It’s the perfect stroller for everyday use. Take it to the park for a long walk, grocery shopping, or to the mall.  The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. 6. UPPAbaby Vista – $820

Vista was on my list for last year and it’s still here. This is one of the coolest-looking strollers that comes with a matching bassinet that allows you to turn it into a fashionable pram. LOV it!

It’s full of great features like a reversible seat, adjustable footrest, telescoping handlebar, large basket, deep recline, great canopy with hidden sunvisor, forever wheels with all-wheel suspension, and easy one-step fold.

For 2015 Uppababy has introduced a new RumblerSeat that you can add to Vista converting it into a double tandem stroller. There is also a PiggyBack board available for an older child.

This luxury stroller weighs only 27 lbs (not bad for a reversible seat stroller). The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. You can buy it for around $820 – $860 and it comes with a matching bassinet, mosquito net, rain cover, bumper bar, bassinet bug net, and bassinet storage bag. Read my full review »

7. Joovy Qool – $550

joovy-qool-stroller

The Qool is a new luxury full-size stroller from Joovy. This modern-looking stroller got a lot of people talking right after hitting the market at the beginning of this year. It has a reversible seat with a super soft insert that feels almost like memory foam.

The adjustable handlebar and the bumper bar are covered with high-quality leather.  The high-tech four-wheel suspension system and sealed bearing wheels will provide a smooth ride for your baby. The maneuverability is outstanding!

I really like its huge canopy that goes all the way to the bumper bar shading your child completely. The Qool also features an adjustable footrest, 5-point harness, large basket, easy fold, and flip-flop-friendly brake.

The seat can accommodate a child from 3 months and up to 55 lbs. It also can be converted into a travel system for a newborn baby. It weighs only 21.5 lbs (lightweight for a reversible seat stroller). This stroller can be purchased for $550 in one of the 10 gorgeous colors (avocado color is my favorite). Here is my full review »

8. Contours Bliss 4-in-1 – $399

best_strollers_2014_5

This amazing stroller converts from an infant car seat carrier to a pram, to take away carrycot, to a stroller – all in one piece! Since the seat transforms into a carrycot, you don’t even need to purchase a separate bassinet. How great is that?

The seat is reversible and very roomy. And, you only need one hand to reverse it. I mean WOW!  It also has a huge canopy that goes all the way to the bumper bar, a large basket, additional storage pockets, front-wheel suspension, flip-flop friendly brake, telescoping handlebars, never-flat tires, and easy fold.

It comes with a cup holder, swing-away bumper bar, footmuff, and infant car seat adapter that is compatible with over 20 most popular car seats.

The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 40 lbs. This baby weighs 24.5 lbs and retails for $399. Here is my full review »

best_strollers_2014_6

This is a great addition to the Peg Perego family. This stroller won my heart with its amazing large canopy, adjustable footrest, all-wheel suspension, adjustable handlebar, roomy seat, deep one-hand recline, and reversible seat.

It weighs only 22 lbs (very low for a reversible seat stroller) and has that easy one-hand fold that we all like.

The included footmuff helps to create a bassinet-like environment for the newborn. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 45 lbs. It retails for around $450 and comes with a footmuff, cup holder, bumper bar, and rain cover.  Read my full review »

  1. hi! im trying to see the best stroller for my needs. Looking for somthing my three year old can fit in now until our new baby comes in july 2014. I would like one handed folding and a large easy to get into basket are my main concerns thanks for the help!

  2. Hi, Im having my first baby in July and cant decide on a stroller. I am not runner, but want to use the stroller for fast walking and want it to be good for walks on the beach. Live in SC so good UV and bug protection is a must. I am 5’2 and my husband is 6’3 so adjustable handlebar is needed. Is the uppababy vista truly worth the price tag? Most likey plan to have a second child in a few years.

  3. Hi Katrin!
    I love the Post…
I’m looking for a lightweight stroller and my favorites are Mini City and Britax B Agile. But both don’t have reversible seat and I still don’t know how it will be important for me.
What do you think about the Bugaboo Bee? It’s a lightweight stroller with a reversible seat… But I didn’t find a lot of reviews about it.
    Thank you

  4. Hi Mayra. Between the City Mini and B-Agile I like B-Agile a little more. Rerversible seat is important only when your child is little. Toddlers don’t want to seat in the stroller period! Bugaboo Bee is a good quality stroller but is very bulky and doesn’t have that easy one-hand fold that B-Agile and City Mini do. Take a look at Aramadillo by Mamas and Papas. It’s a another great lightweight stroller. There will be also Armadillo Flip coming out soon which will have the reversible seat you want!

  5. Hi Kristen. I love Bugaboo style and high quality. I think they make fabulous strollers. They are expensive! LOL.

  6. Hi could you suggest a stroller for a 2month old I would like something were she can grow with if thats available I’am currently using a travel system… I would like something not over 600 dollars or is that not being realistic? Thank you for your help.

  7. I am a 65 year old grandma taking care of her eight month old grandson and loving it. I’m looking for a stroller in the $200 – $250 range. My biggest wish is a stroller in which the baby would be able to sit totally upright. I would like one that’s seat reclines, a bar across the front, large canopy, comfortably padded and not too heavy. It would mostly be used in the city but being able to handle rougher terrain would be good. If I have to pay more for all of these features, I will consider other strollers. I am overwhelmed by the choices and was pleased to discover your website. Hope you can help. :)

  8. Hi there Katrin,

I’m a nanny and a baby gear enthusiast since I was 12 years old. I used to want to design strollers, but I decided my love of books and writing outweighed my love to design. I decided to be a nanny while working towards my writing career. Anyway, I’m surprisingly expecting my first baby in November. I’ve tested and tried out many strollers over the years and always decided that I would go with a Vista as it’s one of my favorites. Well now that I’m really having my own baby, I’m at a cross roads between two strollers, The Vista, and The City Versa with the GT wheel kit by Baby Jogger. I love both these strollers but I’m pretty sure my boyfriend is only going to let me have one lol. I need an all terrain stroller as we love to hike and take mountain trails, but I’m not into air filled tires because they’ve busted on me a few times as a nanny. It would mainly be on walking trails I suppose, because if we hike up, we would just take a carrier. I want a seat that is reversible as social interaction and security is important to me for my child. I would like a large basket and a higher weight capacity as I expect this kid to be on the large and solid variety lol. I also want a bassinet feature. I’m pretty sure both these strollers can handle what I would like, but I just don’t know what to pick. I may save a hundred dollars in the end after getting all the accessories I want with the Baby Jogger, but that’s not enough of a trade off if the vista would handle the terrain as good as the GT wheels would. What would you choose?
Thanks. Sorry for the long post.

  9. Hey Katrin! Do you know if the Mamas & Papa’s Armadillo stroller is compatible with the Britax B Safe infant seat? I haven’t been able to find an adaptor for it. If there is not one, do you have another infant seat you would recommend that is compatible with the Armadillo? Thanks for the review!!

  10. Hi Patricia. I would go with Vista because it’s a such a great luxury stroller. The wheels will handle any terrain with no problem and the bassinet is to die for! Of course you will need a lighter stroller for quick trips and traveling, but I would definitely get Vista for everyday use if your budget allows.

  11. Hi Kasey. I don’t think there is an adapter for Britax BSafe. Armadillo is compatible with following car seats:
    -Cybex Aton/Aton2/Aton Q
    -Graco Snugride 35/Snugride Click Connect
    -Chicco KeyFit 30
    -Nuna
    -Maxi Cosi Citi/Pebble/Cabriofix/Mico/Prezi
    -Besafe Izi Go

Out of the whole list, I personally really like Chicco KeyFit 30. It’s a great car seat. The most important thing to remember about car seats is that the best car seat is the that is INSTALLED CORRECTLY. All the car seats are safe if you install it right. Unfortunately, 70% car seats are installed incorrectly. Hope this helps.

  12. Hi Mariene. The Peg Perego Vela Easy Drive is a lightweight compact stroller that has a very upright seat. It weighs only 16 lbs, has almost flat recline, large storage basket underneath and comes with a child’s tray. It’s a great stroller for running errands around town. The best news is that it’s in your price range!

  13. Bob Sport is the best one I suppose! I’ve been using it with my little one for more than a year, and enjoying it during runs, hikes and walks!

  14. Hi Patty. I would be happy to help you. There are a lot of great strollers under $600 that will be perfect for a newborn. Could you give me a little more info into your lifestyle and things you like to do? For longs at the park, I would recommend getting an all-terrain stroller. For quick ins and outs out of the store and shopping mall something more compact and lighter with smaller wheels.

  15. Hi Katrin,

I was wondering if you could please point us in the right direction.
We are after a stroller with the following wish list:
    * Biggest wish is for it to be adaptable with a car seat, bassinet, forward facing and back facing seat for when baby gets a little bigger. A great ,safe and sturdy frame with the option to add accessories as the baby gets bigger without having to buy a whole new stroller.
    * We love to walk and run
    * We travel around the world a lot so a stroller that is light weight, compact, easy to collapse and easy to travel with.
    * we would also like to eventually add another baby to the family, so it would be great if it has an option to turn into a tandem stroller.

    Any recommendationswould be really appreciated!

    Thanks
    K

  16. Hi Katrin, I want a jogging stroller that is reversible, allowing the baby to face you or away. Any suggestions?

  17. Hi! I’m a first time mom-to-be and with all the endless choices it seems near impossible to find something that is optimal when it comes to baby gear. I wanted to know if the GB Evoq or the new Britax Affinity were strollers you would suggest or have reviewed? We want to be practical and everyone in our area seems to have a Vista or Bugaboo. I am concerned that those will be too heavy for me, etc. and a pricepoint we were not considering.

Any advice would be much apprciated!
    Thank you!

  18. Hi Sd217. I like new Britax Affinity a lot. I have not tested GB Evoq myself. It says that GB Evoq weighs 35 lbs which is super heavy. Another stroller to look at is Joovy Qool. It weighs only 21 lbs and I just saw it on Amazon for $420! Great deal! Keep in mind that you can always go with a cheaper car seat because they are all safe as long as they are installed properly. Let me know if you need help narrowing it down. Thank you.

  19. hi Katrin,
I’am expecting and have finding really difficult to chose the stroller. As more i’m reading reviews on internet i’m getting more confuse….I’m living in Dubai, and what i could realize here are very popular strollers such as : stokke;mima ; chico ;… but unfortunately i cant find any reviews on them and they are not on any top 10 list so far….would like to know what is your opinion regarding this brands…
    best regards

  20. Hi Kristina. It all depends on your lifestyle. Do you need all-terrain tires? Are you going to travel a lot? Some people care about style and fashion more than practical aspect of the strollers. Others could care less about the look but want it to be comfortable and affordable. What are your priorities?

  21. Hi Katrin! Thank you for all the in-depth reviews. From what I keep hearing and reading, it seems most parents downsize to the lightest, most compact stroller as soon as possible. With that in mind, we would like to purchase only one stroller that is light like an umbrella stroller but has full size features and no umbrella fold. Do you think you could help?
    Must haves:
    -under 20lbs
    -very compact fold
    -large canopy
    -good size basket
    -lay flat option
    -car seat adaptable
-able to travel over old (sometimes uneven) pavement for walks

Willing to pay more for these:
    -reversible seat option
    -adjustable foot rest

*I’m heavily leaning toward the Armadillo or Armadillo Flip, but are there other similar options out there that we are just missing? (We prefer to stay under the $500 mark)
How important do you think the reversible seat option really is? Worth $220 more? Any insight or recommendation you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

  22. Hi Audrey. The Armadillo would be my first recommendation because it has all your must haves and it looks very stylish. Not as stylish but with larger wheels is Britax B-Agile which also has one-hand compact fold, weighs 17 lbs and can become a travel system. The price of Armadillo is a little on a higher end especially if it’s your second stroller. If it’s your only stroller, then I think it’s reasonable. You want to make sure you will be ok with the small wheels like Armadillo has. Reversible seat is a cool feature to have, but only in the first year. Older kids could care less about looking at you. LOL. They don’t even want to sit in a stroller anymore. BTW, strollers with reversible seat are not really compact. If compactness is important for you, go with a regular seat. Most parents get lighter strollers as soon as their kid turns 2 years.

  23. Hi Katrin,
I also have the same requirements as Audrey. I am also heavily considering the Armadillo Flip XT, however, maneuvarability is key I would think. Unfortunately, the Armadillo Flip and Joovy Qool do not seem to be around anywhere for me to look at. It’s so confusing at this stage as you don’t know what kind of features your child will need (since I am a first time mom-to-be). I would think storage is important yet the City Mini GT and Agile are not conducive for a regular size diaper bag. I’ve been leaning towards the City Mini GT b/c of compactedness, weight, and maneuvarability but again, what about storage, lack of 180 incline, and no footrest? Also, do most parents generally invest in 2 strollers? I really hadn’t anticipated needing another one so soon except that we would like to have another child soon enough. I feel stroller shopping is truly harder than car shopping at this point!

  24. Hi again Katrin! Thank you so much for your quick response! After reading what you had to say, we went and “test drove” the Britax B Agile, City Mini, and Armadillo. I think Babies-R-Us had the last Armadillo in Dallas (seriously! No one carries them in store!). Because they had cleared out their Armadillo inventory, the manager offered us the Armadillo for $140!! Well, that made our decision quite easy. Besides, after testing out all three we liked the Armadillo better than the City Mini or Britax B Agile due to it’s simplicity of design, adjustable foot rest, deep recline, and large basket. Thank you for your input! We are thrilled to have gotten such a great deal on a beautiful stroller.

And, SD217, after seeing the Armadillo in person today, I was not disappointed. It looks as nice and handles as well as it appears to on the online videos/reviews. The recline wasn’t quite as flat as I imagined, but it was better than both the Britax and City Mini/GT. Also, I preferred the maneuverability of the four wheeled Armadillo and Britax Agile over the 3 wheel City Mini GT. the four wheelers felt a bit more sturdy (even though the GT had nice, big wheels that would probably do great on rougher terrain). I think the Armadillo Flip would be a wonderful choice as well. I talked with Mamas and Papas today over the phone before we located the last stroller left in Dallas, and they said If you do decide to purchase one of the Armadillos from them without being able to test drive it, you can return it in its original box if you’re not completely pleased with it. Hope this helps a little! This baby gear buying business is not for the faint of heart. Good luck!

  25. Hi Audrey and Katrin,
Katrin, thanks so much for all your insight. I was close to choosing the Citi Mini GT or trying to track down the Joovy Qool to take a look at it.

@Audrey – I was able to track down an Armadillo Flip and really like it. It fits the bill! I am going to try my best to get on the pre-order list (cross my fingers). It feels so exciting to have finally made a decision!

  26. Hey Katrin,
Great article! I’m a 1st time mom-to-be. I’m debating between the baby jogger city mini GT & the britax b agile. I would like a stroller that can handle a variety of terrain (particularly gravel/uneven sidewalks/snow), is lightweight & fits a car seat. I’m also open to other midrange suggestions if you think another stroller is better. Thanks, Tess

  27. Hi Tess. If you want a smoother ride got with GT. It’s a little heavier that B-agile, but because of the very compact fold you are not going to feel that extra pounds. There are a lot of other all-terrain strollers, but it all depends on your budget. I think GT is one of the most compact and budget friendly strollers out there. Another one that I really like is BOB Motion. It has super duper suspension and all-terrain wheels. Price wise it kind of close to GT. It also folds in half like GT so you are not going to feel the extra weight.

  28. Hi Katrin. I’m expecting my second child, and I already have a baby jogger elite (because my first child was a big baby, so these was the best I found for him, 3 years ago). So I’m looking for a stroler with reversible seat, something that I don’t need to use with a bassinet and up to 500,00. Now, I’m thinking about Cruz, Nuna Mixx, Joovy Qool, Armadillo Flip. I would like to know wich one you think is better. Thank you so much.

  29. Hi Ana. All of the strollers that you are considering are the best strollers on the market. Any of them would be a good option. It all depends on what is the most important thing for you aside from reversible seat? Does compact fold, weight, wheel size, basket size matters? Are you going to travel with it or go grocery shopping? Armadillo Flip is the most compact one out of all of them. I love Nuna Mixx but you can only use it with Nuna Pipa car seat. Cruz has bulky fold other than that it’s great. Joovy Qool is so stylish and is full of great features but again bulky fold.

  30. Hi i am having a tough time selecting a stroller for my 5 month old that does not come as a travel system. my biggest thing is having a stroller that has reversible seat or reversible handle. I want to be able to see my son while he is young and then have the option of sitting the other way when he gets a little older. I also want a large storage space, easy one hand fold and open, as well as the stroller being able to stand on its own. So far I have only come across the Uppababy Vista 2015 and the Graco Modes Sport Click Connect. I loved the color of the Uppababy and how smooth the wheels went, whereas with the Graco I didn’t think it was smooth and not crazy about the color. Are there any other ones out there that would fit my needs and wants? The Uppababy is super expensive and the retailer doesn’t accept store coupons for that brand, so that was another con. AAuugghgh I am pulling my hair out with the decision making here. :-(

  31. Hi Flordeliz. I feel your pain, but there are plenty of great strollers. BTW, Vista has two hand fold but it’s easy. Here are the strollers I can suggest: Stokke Scoot V2 – reversible seat, one-hand fold, large basket, deep recline, large canopy and good size wheels. Armadillo Flip – reversible seat, the most compact fold every, one-hand fold, huge canopy, large basket, very deep recline, but small wheels (might be a deal breaker). Uppababy cruz – reversible seat, large basket, deep recline, ok size wheels. Nuna Mixx – reversible seat, nice wheels, huge basket, deep recline, huge canopy, two-hand but very compact fold. I don’t like Graco brand – usually doesn’t last for long. I can help you narrow it down. Let me know what you think.

  32. Hi Katrin. I am after a light, compact, stylish stroller that I can insert bassinet or capsule, rear and forward or reversible handle. I was looking at bugaboo cameleon, is there any cheaper stroller you can suggest as the bugaboo costs an arm and leg. My budget is $800-$1000

  33. Hi Saru. Do you like Stokke Scoot V2 – it is very compact, has one-hand fold, reversible seat and you can get a soft bag for a newborn.

  34. Hi Katrin –
Thank you for your super helpful website! I have a 1.5 year old and a 4.5 year old. I’m currently using a tandem double stroller and it is completely ridiculous – and I downsized my vehicle so now it doesn’t fit in the truck =/

I’m looking for a single stroller with the following features:
    – compact fold (I really don’t care about weight, but folding up small is very important)
    – easy to fold (doesn’t have to be 1 handed but I don’t want to struggle)
    – functional cupholder for me and one for toddler (tho mesh pocket for sippy would be ok)
    – functional storage
    – won’t tip over if I have purse hanging off back and kid suddenly pops out of stroller at the zoo, etc.
    – decent canopy

So far I’m thinking Joovy Scooter? Or maybe Britax B-Agile? I’m super confused. Please help!

  35. Hi Elia. You are doing the right thing by downsizing. Most parents want something light and compact after the first year, something compact that they can travel with. I like Joovy Scooter and B-Agile (very practical choice). Also, take a look at Mamas&Papas Armadillo or Armadillo City – super compact larger basket than on Scooter and so stylish. You can get an universal riding board for your older child if there is no board for the stroller you choose. If you want an all-terrain tires, take a look at City Mini GT and Bob Motion. They are heavier but very compact.

  36. Hi Brandi. Take a look at Mountain Buggy Terrain. This buggy is full of great features like deep recline, huge canopy, adjustable handle bar, and easy fold. Storage is the name of the game here. Besides a large basket, it has two mesh pockets inside of the seat, two water bottle holders, and a large zipper pocket on the back of the basket for small items. A roomy seat goes to a flat position and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 77 lbs (that should last you till college!).

The stroller also can be converted into a travel system with an addition of a car seat adapter or you can even convert it into a pram by replacing the seat with a bassinet. Not many joggers have a pram option. One of the features why many parents buy this buggy is the face-to-face accessory which is a smaller seat that you can put your baby into after he outgrows the carrycot. Let me know what you think.

  37. Hi Katrin,

What car seat would you recommend to pair with the Joovy Qool? I’m trying to help my cousin narrow down her selection, and she wants to go with the GB Evoq. I just saw your reply which states the GB is heavy at 35lbs+. Therefore, I want to present her with new options, but I know she will ask about a carseat becausethe Joovy is not sold as a system. Thanks!!!

  38. Hi Dominique. I am glad you like Qool. I thinkt it’s such a stylish stroller. It works with:

    Britax B-Safe
    BOB B-Safe
    Chicco KeyFit 30
Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35/ Click Connect 40
    Maxi-Cosi Mico/Mico AP/Prezi
    Cybex Aton/Cybex Aton 2/Cybex Aton Q

    Thank you,

  39. Hi Audrey – Really glad you located one. We tested it out here in NJ at a baby boutique called Nessalee. Good luck, our Flip XT has just arrived!

  40. Hi G – We got our Flip XT from a store in NJ called NessaLee. We had it on preorder and it just came into the store for us to pickup!

  41. Hi Katrin, Thank you for reviewing the strollers in detail.
I am a first time mom due in 8 weeks.

My requirements for a stroller are –
    1. Should be adaptable with Chicco Keyfit 30
    2. Durable tires to walk in the park and paved footpath
    3. Lightweight, Safe and sturdy frame, should fit in a midsize car like chevy Malibu, decent canopy, functional storage
    4. Under $400

Can you please help in selecting a stroller? Thanks a lot.

  42. Hi Rov. Absolutely! I think you will like Bob Motion or City Mini GT. Both work with your car seat, have very deep recline, all-terrain tires, huge canopy, large basket, adjustable handle bar, very compact one-hand fold, and travel system option. And they are both cost around $300! Bob has amazing suspension btw. Let me know what you think!

  43. Hi Greg. Ha! It all depends on your lifestyle really and less on money. What are you planning on doing? Do you like to go to the park? Do you like to jog? Do you use public transit?

  44. Thanks for the reply Katrin. We live in new York city and will generally be strolling around the neighborhood. We do have an SUV but will also be taking cabs so ease of use would be the major priority followed by durability.

    Thank you.

  45. My baby just turned one, but I really wanted to invest on a stroller that is an all terrain but not air filled tires… Do you know any? And I would like it to have a large huge canopy, deep recline and a stroller that’s not extremely heavy…. But with a high capacity weight, would love to use it longer I know toddlers doesn’t like to be in it but would like to put my son for long walks or light jog. And also I could use it later on when we go to Disney and other places that requires long walks, and I know he’s gonna be tired, so the stroller is gonna said the day eventually. Please help me… Thank you

  46. Hi Che. I would get City Mini GT, Armadillo Flip XT or BoB Motion. They all have great wheels and compact one-hand fold that is great for traveling. Let me know what you think.

  47. This list is great, but I would love more advice as a first time mom. I have been researching strollers for two days, but there are so many! Most important to my husband and I are: only purchasing one if possible, all-terrain (we don’t run, but we do walk, go to the beach, travel lots), lightweight, large storage, will work with car seat (any-we haven’t bought one), easy fold/set-up, and of the ones we’ve tried, my husband likes the three-wheel design more as he found it easier to steer and turn. We would love to stay around $400, but I’m not sure if the Indie is worth the extra. I love the City Mini GT, but the small storage is my hang-up. We are also most likely being given a joovy tandem.

  48. Hi, I’m looking for a stroller for my one year old. I don’t drive (walk and public transit) so I need all terrain wheels (snow, grass) and a stroller that i can lift and carry onto a bus wuth ine hand. I have an umbrella stroller thats grrat for bus but awful for snow and grass, and a stroller thats grrat all terrain but awful for the bus because when folded the handle and wheels are together and akward to carry around

  49. Hi Beth. It sounds like you need a stroller with decent wheels, one hand fold and not too heavy. I would recommend BOB Motion, City Mini GT or Armadillo XT. All of them have good size wheels, lightweight, and very compact fold. They are all very good quality and feature deep recline, roomy seat and huge canopy. What do you think?

  50. Hi Katrin, I am looking for a pram that is suitable for two kids, I am currently pregnant with my first, but we would like to have two close together. I ideally want one that is light, easy to fold, not too bulky, easy to manouvre. I know that seems like I am asking a lot. Would be handy for it to be easy on a lot of terrains, I don’t really plan to run with the pram.

  51. Hi i could really use your expert advice! I am the single mother of almost 3yr old sofie 39lbs and 39in tall. Need a stroller for a couple upcoming trips all flying and one to Disneyland for 5 days. I need something in the 200 dollar range give or take im really leaning towards the britax 2014 b agile. I love the style, one handed close, compact close a weigt. I had a big babytrend jogger from birth way to heavy and bulky to travel and chicco echo that looks great but is a pain to manuever…please help!

  52. After looking at this article I’ve liked the armadillo flip tx, Joovy qool, or bob motion. I have 2 boys and am having a girl now which I’m beyond thrilled about. I really want a girly color, large basket. Large canopy, height adjust.able bar (I’m 5’2″ and hubby is 6’3″), not too heavy, and one that will last me until she’s a toddler. I don’t have a car seat yet and prefer one that at least comes with adapter. I was previously looking at the britax agile 4 but only available in 1 color. I liked the bliss too but my husband doesn’t like the changing this for that, adding a bar adapter. He likes simple. :) I’m considering a BOB jogging stroller not because we jog but BOB has a promotion this month that they give you the infant car seat ($199) free with purchase of jogger stroller and adapter. We are not planning on anymore children after our daughter. Thank you for your help!

  53. I’m looking for a stroller for my 3 year old who will have a full leg cast and will need to have his leg supported. Which stroller do you recommend with the most sturdy adjustable foot rest? Also, looking for comfort, as he will probably be in it often. Thanks!

  54. Hi Katrin!
This was a great post and I saw how helpful you have been in all the comments so I thought I’d ask your opinion since I’m still so indecisive on which stroller we should get.
I have a 4 month old and a 2.5 year old. My 2.5 year old refuses to sit in the stroller and my 4 month old is more comfortable in the regular stroller seat versus the carseat with adapter. I’ve thought about just getting a nice umbrella stroller from UppaBaby or Maclaren but I tend to carry a lot of stuff and would need to put my giant diaper bag on the handles or in a basket. That being said, I have a double City Select (with bassinet option and carseat adapter) and a double BOB. We replaced our Bugaboo Bee and single BOB right before baby number two came. I loved the weight, ride and ease of the Bugaboo Bee but hated the price and the small inaccessible basket. Our City Select basket is falling apart and now I have read that that is a common problem. I also don’t love the bulk of it and the two pieces.

I would love to find a stroller that:
    1. Folds all in one piece
    2. Has a large durable basket
    3. Lightweight
    4. Has a great canopy
    5. Fairly smooth ride
    6. Easy one-handed steering

Not a dealbreaker, but if it could have a skateboard attachment option that would be great too.

If you have any recommendations I would be more than happy to hear them! :)

  55. Hi Christina. I am glad you like my site :). Ok, from the very lightweight and compact options I can suggest Britax B-Ready, Mamas&Papas Armadillo. A little heavier options with larger baskets would be Uppababy Curz, Valco Baby Snap Ultra (huge basket), or Nuna Mixx. Also, have you looked at BOB Motion?

  56. Hi! Your reviews have been super helpful. I was wondering if you have some insight into the stroller problem I’ve been trying to solve…

My husband and I walk up to half an hour to the bus each day to drop off my 18-month old son at daycare on our way to work, and live in Boston so there will be snow coming in the winter. We currently have a hand-me-down Chicco cortina, which is fine except the fold is very long and bulky (which is difficult for the times the bus is very full!) and it would be nice to have all terrain wheels for winter. Otherwise the Cortina has been great– super comfortable adjustable handle, nice big basket, all wheel suspension…

We ordered a mountain buggy swift 2015, and it seems perfect for this–except– it’s very short and my husband (5’8″) feels that the handle is probably too short even at the highest position (it’s just right for me, 5’2″!) We still have to test it some more, but in the meantime I’ve been trying to find other compact strollers (compact-ish) with all terrain wheels, but the few options I have come across (Bumbleride Indie / 4, Urban jungle, Valco Tri Mode Ex, etc) are JUST a bit too wide for the bus aisle. (Needs to be 23″ to fit! 24-25 is too wide! We measured.) The City Mini GT has small enough wheels that we could get it through the aisle (the wheels can fit under the seat edges), but the stroller is still too long (44″) and the basket is very inaccessible.

I’m beginning to think I will have to give up on the all terrain wheels for snow, and just find something that can handle the 30min walk (suspension / reasonable wheels) but with a compact 1 hand fold for the bus. What do you think? Our needs are…

    1. No more than 23″ wide for the bus aisle (dealbreaker!)
    2. No more than 22-23lb weight (ish) (I need to be able to lift it out of the bus myself occasionally)
    3. Compact, 1-handed fold (self standing a bonus)
    4. Snack tray option would be awesome
    5. Accessible basket (aka NOT City Mini, even the GT, you can’t get things in and out quickly!)
    6. Wheels / suspension combination that can handle 30-min or more walks on sometimes-bumpy sidewalks, maybe even in snow (all terrain tires preferred, for all wheels (not just back ones))
    7. Seat back that is at least NOT short (my son is on the tall side!)
    8. Adjustable handle (dealbreaker!)
    9. Reasonable sun canopy
    10. $500 or less would be best

The mountain buggy swift has all of these things (doesn’t have suspension, but does have good air filled tires!) but the adjustable handle is just very short.

I have been doing lots of searching, but I’m not sure if there are makers I am missing! Thanks so much for any leads you might have!!
    -Rachel

  57. Hi Rachel. I think I found a PERFECT stroller for you – BOB Motion. It has everything you are looking for: one-hand fold, 32-42 handle bar, roomy seat, only 22″ wide so should fit perfectly and all-terrain tires! It costs only $300 and the basket is great. What do you think?

  58. Hi Katrin,
Ooo yes, that looks like a really good option. I’m a little unsure about the curved bar in the back of the basket… Do you have an idea of how many inches or clearance there would be to put things in the back? Or the sides? The sides look better for sure.
I’ll compare this with the mountain buggy with my husband and see which of these would end up being the best (still checking out the low handle height of the swift!)

  59. Hi Katrin!
So… We took the mountain buggy swift on our comnute to try it out (my husband decided the handle height was not too bad), and I realized I really do NOT like the three wheel design for the bus and popping up on tall curbs!! It felt so unstable, wobbling on one wheel as you push the stroller onto the bus or curb.
We ordered the bob motion, and we love it!! The basket isn’t as accessible as I’d like, but it’s definitely doable and the best possible solution! It’s a great stroller and it’s lovely to finally be done with our hunt and have a really good stroller.
Thanks so much for the help!! ????
    Rachel

  60. Hi Nikki. There are so many great strollers. I don’t know if you are looking for an all terrain stroller or not, but I can recommend BOB Motion which is a great stroller suitable for kids from birth and up to 76 lbs (which is basically to college). LOL. It has huge canopy, adjustable padded 5 point harness, adjustable handle bar, large basket, and large storage pocket in the back of the seat. You will love it!

  61. Hi I am looking for advice i need a buggy one piece lightweight for travelling to uk. I currently have a silvercross surf 2 but its not allowed due to two pieces. I will be in scotland for a month and weather pretty cold so need something cosy very easy to maneouvre and comfortable most of all. Please could you recommend something not too expensive. Many Thanks

  62. Hi Katrin. It sounds like you need an all-terrain stroller. I can recommend Baby Jogger City GT. It’s not a jogger but is a great all-terrain stroller that is very inexpensive.

  63. good morning Suzan ,
I’m looking for a extremly light stroller to take on trips . It is very important to design and be beautiful. What do you recommend?

  64. Thanks so much for the great reviews! Any tips on the following? I’ve got a City Mini which I love except that the crotch strap is not adjustable and the strap to fold is right where my child sits. My little one is now 17 months old but often sleeps in stroller for nap so looking for a full recline, preferably adjustable foot rest (if lies flat with seat), big canopy, and adjustable crotch strap.

    Thanks!

  65. I am looking for a replacement stroller (lost in fire) We have a (about 32lbs)3 year old with with medical needs requiring some equipment-can’t seem to find current strollers with large capacity storage baskets. Suggestions welcome!
