Baby Jogger City Select LUX Stroller Review

city-select-lux4The Baby Jogger City Select Lux is an updated version of the beloved City Select. As you probably know, City Select has been one of the best selling strollers for a while. Parents love it’s ability to grow with the family converting from a single into a double inline mode or even a triple mode with an addition of a stroller board.

Needless to say I was super exited to see the new Lux model. Let me tell you, it’s amazing! For 2017 City Select got a complete face lift eliminating all of their drawbacks. Is it a perfect stroller now? It just might be. Let’s take a look.

The City Select Lux is a reversible seat stroller with 20 seat combinations (instead of 16) and an ability to take two infant car seats, two fulls size seats, or two bassinets. You can even transport three kids by adding a stroller board. There is also a new jump seat that you can use instead of the main seat for your older child. It turns Lux into a sit-n-stand type of stroller adding 4 more seating arrangements.

The fold is easier and more compact comparing to the previous one. I like how the seat folds in half protecting the inside of the seat from dirt and damage. Before, it was exposed collecting all the dust. You can fold the stroller with both seat attached. And, they’ve added an automatic lock!

Britax B-Ready 2017 Stroller Review

britax-b-ready-stroller-2017-2Britax’s B-Ready 2017 is an all-terrain reversible-seat stroller that has ability to convert from single into a double inline stroller. You can use it with two stroller seats, two bassinets or two infant car seats. There are 12 different seating combinations to choose from!

The B-Ready got a lot of great updates for 2017. The frame has been completely redesigned and now looks much more modern and sleek. The canopy provides more shade. The basket got even larger thanks to the detachable extension. The brake has a color indicator and is super flip-flop-friendly.

The Click & Go System allows you to just click any Britax infant car seat right into the frame and you got a travel system. No adapters needed!

The stroller still features: a roomy seat with a tall canopy, the swing-away bumper bar, a deep one-hand recline, adjustable leg rest, adjustable handlebar, all-wheel suspension, automatic lock, standing fold, and easy fold. The seat can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 55 lbs (which is like 7-year old).

Mamas & Papas Ocarro 2017/2018 Stroller Review

mamas-and-papas-ocarro4As you probably know, Mamas & Papas is one of my favorite companies. So, I was very exited to see a new model for 2017 called ‘Ocarro’. While it might be new to the US market, it has been out in UK since October 2016 so there has been some feedback from parents already. Everybody loves it!

It looks like Mamas & Papas took the best features from the Armadillo Flip XT and Urbo 2 models and put it all into Ocarro creating one of the BEST strollers on today’s market.

This buggy has a reversible seat with a one-hand recline that includes a flat position suitable for a newborn. I absolutely love flat reclines where the child can actually fully stretch and does not have to sleep in a half sitting position (it’s also great for diaper changes on the fly).

The large three-panel canopy will provide plenty of shade while a zipped in mesh panel will ensure great air circulation on a hot summer day. You not going to wake your baby up with the magnetic peekaboo window closure instead of noisy Velcro. Large basket can fit a lot of the groceries during your shopping trip. The compact fold will leave plenty of room in your trunk for other things.

Stokke Trailz All-Terrain Stroller Review

stokke-trailz4The Stokke Trailz is a luxury all-terrain stroller with a reversible seat that is designed for active parents who like to spend a lot of time outdoors no matter the season or terrain. As you’ve probably guessed from the name of the model you can easily take if off road and tackle the trails. Uneven city streets, snow, sand or gravel wouldn’t be a problem when you are strolling with this buggy. These large all-terrain air-filled tires can handle anything!

Keep in mind, there is a big difference between foam-filled and air-filled all-terrain wheels. The air-filled wheels have much better natural suspension and provide much smoother ride than foam-filled. For those parents who mostly walk on even surface, foam filled tires will be enough. But, if you want to take it to the sandy beach or snowy street, it’s better to have air-filled tires.

The Trailz comes with a reversible seat, but can also be converted into a travel system or a pram. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 45 lbs. The included infant insert reduces the seat depth and provides more support for a small baby.

Cybex Iris M-Air Stroller Review

cybex-iris-m-air1Last year Cybex made a big splash by releasing 6 new models that are perfect for everyday use. All of the these models feature one-hand compact fold, large basket, adjustable handle bar, bumper bar, all-wheel suspension, huge canopy, and bassinet option. But the best thing about this collection is that you can choose the seat, the wheels and the number of wheels you want. Cybex made sure there is a stroller for every life style.

The Cybex Iris M-Air is a reversible-seat model very similar to the Balios M, but has regular size wheels instead of all-terrain. Everything else is absolutely the same! Because of the regular size wheels, the Iris M-Air has a lighter weight and a more compact fold.

It’s great for running errands, going to the store or a shopping mall. You can easily get it in and out of the car and because of the compact fold it doesn’t take too much room in the trunk. The light weight of only 21 lbs will be easy on your back. While it’s a lightweight model, it still has the reversible seat so you can see your baby any time.

Cybex Eternis M3 All-Terrain Stroller Review

cybex-eternis-m3-1The Cybex has recently released a wide range of strollers for every kind of lifestyle. One of their all-terrain models in the new collection is Eternis M3 which rolls on three foam-filled wheels, has an one-hand compact fold and weighs only 19 lbs. This is the lightest all-terrain stroller in the Cybex M line.

Despite the low weight, it is full of great features like large canopy, adjustable handle bar, large basket, all-wheel suspension, flip-flop-friendly brake, and very roomy seat.

The seat has a deep almost flat recline suitable for a newborn and can accommodate a child up to 55 lbs. Like all M models, it can be converted into a travel system or a pram. You can remove the seat completely and use a frame only. This is a serious competition for the popular Baby Jogger City Mini GT. I think this model will be a big hit among the parents since there are not that many all-terrain stroller with an one-hand compact fold.

Cybex Eternis M4 All-Terrain Stroller Review

cybex-eternis-m4-7Last year Cybex has released a wide range of strollers for any lifestyle. One of their new all-terrain models is Cybex Eternis M4 which features a very compact one-hand fold and a light weight of only 21 lbs.

The Cybex Eternis M4 rolls on four never-flat foam-filled hard-rubber wheels with 8″ wheels in the front and 11.5″ wheels in the back. These wheels can handle different kinds of terrain from uneven city streets with lots of cobblestones to a countryside. The all-wheel suspension makes the ride even smoother.

Despite the light weight, it is full of great features like a large canopy with a dark mesh window, large basket, roomy seat, flip-flop-friendly brake, all-wheel suspension, adjustable handle bar, and swing-away bumper bar.

The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. The one-hand compact fold with an automatic lock and standing fold make it great for travel and public transit. Just like all Cybex M models, it can be converted into a travel system or a stylish pram. You can remove the seat completely and use only the frame of the stroller. This could be your ONLY stroller.

Cybex Balios M All-Terrain Stroller Review

cybex-balios-m24

The Cybex Balios M is an all-terrain reversible-seat stroller that has an one-hand compact fold and it weighs only 23 lbs. It has many features parents want in the stroller like huge canopy, roomy reversible seat, deep recline, large basket and adjustable leg rest.

The all-terrain wheels together with all-wheel suspension provide a smooth ride. It’s great for long walks at the park, city streets or grocery shopping. You can also turn it into a stylish pram by replacing the seat with a carry cot or a travel system by replacing the seat with an infant car seat.

The adjustable handle bar can accommodate taller and shorter parents. The one-hand fold is pretty compact and has a standing fold and auto lock.

Aside from great features I also love the stylish frame design and combination of the white and black tires. BTW, this modern looking buggy was designed and made in Germany.

This is almost a perfect stroller, but there are a few things I would improve. I would like to see a cover added for the mesh panel in the canopy. Also, it would be nice if the stroller worked with most popular car seats not just Cybex infant car seats. But, the main thing would be that one-hand fold that is really hard to get working. In fact this was the main complaint from other parents on how difficult the fold is. I hope Cybex updates it in the near future.

BTW, there is a new stroller called Cybex Balios S which has a lot of similar features, but has a very deep flat recline suitable for a newborn unlike Balios M that keeps it’s ‘v’ shape so your child is kind of in a sitting position even when fully reclined. Check it out.

The Cybex Balios M comes in five beautiful colors and retails for around $496 on Amazon. It comes only with bumper bar. All other accessories need to be purchased separately. BTW, there is a new stroller Cybex Balios S which has a lot of similar features, but

Features

-Huge canopy. This canopy is great! It has three large panels including a mesh zipped-in one that go down all the way to the bumper bar. Your child will get plenty of coverage. You can use the mesh panel instead of the peekaboo window to look at your child. The only thing I wish it had is the closure for the mesh to protect child from the wind and the sun.

cybex-balios-m3

cybex-balios-m4

-Reversible seat. The seat is reversible so your child can face you or the world.  It is 12.5″ wide with the 20″ seat back and a measurement of 22″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy. You will be happy to know that it has a very deep one-hand lever recline that goes to almost flat position.

Despite the ‘v’ shaped seat, I think the recline is deep enough to put a newborn in. It can hold a child up to 55 lbs. Of course if you want to put a newborn into the seat, you will need to get an infant insert for additional support.

To avoid tipping the stroller backwards when the seat is fully reclined, hang your diaper bag on the frame using stroller hooks. You can also use it to hang your water bottle, or shopping bags.

-5-point harness. It has an adjustable padded 5-point harness with a center release buckle. Because the waist straps and the shoulder straps are connected, it’s very easy to lock the buckle. I like that white logo in the middle.

cybex-balios-m16

-Adjustable handle bar. The telescoping handle bar goes from 37″ all the way up to 42″ from the ground. Shorter and taller parents will be comfortable.

cybex-balios-m17

-Bumper bar. INCLUDED! This bumper bar is swing-away and can be easily removed.

cybex-balios-m5

-Adjustable leg rest. The leg rest is adjustable so your little baby will be able to stretch his legs.

cybex-balios-m6

-Huge basket. The basket is great! It’s large and very easy to access from the back. You can fit a lot of stuff in it including your largest diaper bag.

For even more storage I would recommend getting an universal stroller organizer. That way you can take not only your coffee cup, but also a LOT of stuff including keys, phone, water, wallet, snacks, diapers, toys, and more. The amount of stuff it can fit is unbelievable.

cybex-balios-m2

Look at how loaded this basket is!

cybex-balios-m1

-All-terrain wheels. It rolls on four all-terrain wheels with 8″ in the front and 11.5″ wheels in the back. These wheels are made out of high-quality rubber and have foam filling so they never puncture or flatten. Now, I should probably mention that these are not the same as air-filled all-terrain wheels that you can use to go trail walking. These wheels are more designed for long walks at the park, city streets with uneven pavement, or some playground mulch. They are still much better than on many non all-terrain strollers.

cybex-balios-m14

cybex-balios-m19

-All-wheel suspension. The all-wheel suspension together with large all-terrain wheels make the ride much smoother.

cybex-balios-m18

-Flip-flop-friendly brake. I am always happy to see a flip-flop-friendly brake. No shoe scratches!

cybex-balios-m8

-One-hand fold. The fold is three-step fold, but you can do it all with one hand and it has a standing fold and automatic lock. Since the stroller folds in half (one of my favorite folds), it becomes a very compact package for an all-terrain reversible seat stroller which are known for having a bulky fold. This is probably as compact as it can get. The folded dimensions are: 14.6″L x 22.4″W x 33″H.

cybex-balios-m9

cybex-balios-m12

cybex-balios-m11

-Bassinet option. You can turn your stroller into a stylish pram by replacing the seat with a matching bassinet called Cybex Carry Cot M. It features a comfortable, extra wide mattress that ensures an ergonomically correct and comfortable lying position. The integrated UVP50+ sun canopy protects from sun, wind and rain. The carry cot weighs only 8 lbs and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 20 lbs. It works with following models:

  • Cybex Balios M
  • Cybex Iris M-Air
  • Cybex Agis M-Air 3 / 4
  • Cybex Eternis M3 / M4

cybex-balios-m25

cybex-balios-m20

-Travel system option. You can also turn your stroller into a travel system by replacing the seat with an infant car seat. It works ONLY with Cybex car seats which I think have one of the best safety ratings. Check out my top 10 safest car seats. BTW, you do need to buy adapters separately. The compatible models include:

  • Aton
  • Aton 2
  • Aton Q/Could Q

cybex-balios-m15

Cons

-No mesh window closure. There is a zipped-in mesh panel in the canopy that you can expose for larger coverage. This mesh can be also used as a peekaboo window. I wish there was an attached cover to protect the child from wind and the sun.

-Works only with Cybex car seats. While you can convert Balios M into a travel system, it works only with Cybex infant car seats which I love, but they are not cheap. Here is my list of best car seats on today’s market.
