OMG! I just saw this in the news and wanted to share with you. As you know, in 2014 Graco has recalled 11 stroller models, more than 4.7 million strollers in response to reports of children getting their fingers amputated.
Also, more than six million car seats were recalled in 2014 after a defect was found that involved car seat buckles that became stuck in the latched position.
Now, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration will fine Graco $3 million which is the largest-ever penalty of its kind.
Graco will also be required to spend $7 million dollars over the next five years on child car safety seat awareness.
The worst thing is that federal safety regulators are investigating whether Graco delayed reporting a defect that led to the largest recall of children’s car seats in U.S. history. I can’t believe they would do that!
If you own Graco stroller you should check to see for the recall info. The recall models include Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling, and Travelmate model strollers and travel systems.
