Valco Baby Snap Ultra Stroller Review

valco-ultra-light-stroller24The Valco Baby Snap Ultra stroller is finally here! Like many parents I’ve been waiting for this stroller since the beginning of 2015. Wondering why?

Well, because this is one of the lightest and most compact reversible strollers on the market. While it weighs only 19 lbs, it has large wheels that can handle a lot of different terrain.

But, the most exiting thing is that you can get all-terrain tires for this model and switch them. Voila! Now, you have an ALL-TERRAIN stroller that you can take off road. This way you don’t need to buy two strollers.

You can use regular wheels when you running errands, going to the mall, or grocery shopping and use all-terrain wheels when you are going to the park for a long walk.

The Snap Ultra truly grows with your child. It also has ability to transform into a travel system and a beautiful pram. The seat is very roomy with plenty of headroom for a taller toddler. The deep recline goes to almost a flat position suitable for a newborn. The huge canopy will provide your child with complete protection. It also features adjustable handle bar, adjustable leg rest, adjustable 5-point harness, huge basket, and flip-flop-friendly brake.

Valco Baby Zee Stroller Review

valco_zee_stroller1The Valco Baby Zee is a lightweight stroller that is full of great features, but has a very compact fold. I think that Zee model has been flying under a radar and I am very surprised it’s not as popular as many other lightweight strollers. It’s designed for every-day use and is very versatile. You can turn it into a travel system, replace the seat with the infant car seat, or turn it into a pram by replacing the seat with a bassinet. You can even add a glider board to it for an older toddler.

Four never-flat tires together with rear-wheels suspension system will provide a very smooth ride. Although it’s not an all-terrain stroller, it will definitely tackle a mommy terrain like grass, gravel or mulch. The maneuverability on Zee model is outstanding! This is a truly one-hand stroller that glides even fully loaded. It also features large canopy, large basket, flip-flop friendly brake, and adjustable foot rest.

The Zee model got a little upgraded in 2013 and now has adjustable handle bar  and a mesh window in the back. What impressed me the most, was how compact the fold is. It will definitely fit into the smallest trunk. With a press of a button you can remove all of the wheels making it even more compact. It also features an automatic lock and standing fold. This puppy weighs only 18 lbs.

Valco Baby Snap4 Stroller Review

valco_snap4_1Valco Baby Snap4 stroller has all the features of the Snap model, but rolls on four wheels. While the fourth wheel provides more stability, the weight of the stroller is still under 15 lbs! With all the great features, I can’t believe how light the Snap4 is. For comparison, similar strollers and main competitors like City Mini and B-Agile weigh 17 lbs.

Snap4 is also designed for parents on the move who live in a busy urban environment and need a light practical stroller for every day use.  You can take it for a walk around the neighborhood, shopping mall, or doctor’s office. The small foot print allows for easy navigation of the cramped store aisles and in-between the cars on the parking lot. The basket is easily accessible and is great size for such a light stroller. Although it’s not an all terrain stroller, the never-flat tires can tackle some grass, mulch or gravel. The compact fold, light weight and a convenient shoulder strap make it perfect for traveling.

Other great features include easy fold, flip-flop-friendly brake, large canopy and roomy seat. Despite weighing ONLY 15 lbs, it is stable enough to be converted into a travel system. That’s right, you can use it with the most popular infant car seats by getting a car seat adapter. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 44 lbs.

Valco Baby Snap Stroller Review

valco_snap1The Valco Baby Snap is a lightweight stroller that has a lot of features of a full size stroller, but weighs ONLY 13 lbs! This is a serious competition for City Mini and B-Agile. The Snap model is perfect for on-the-go parents who live in an urban environment and like to travel a lot. It has a great maneuverability and can be pushed with one hand even fully loaded. The footprint of the stroller is quite small making it easy to navigate cramped store aisles and in-between the cars on parking lots.

The Snap rolls on three hard rubber wheels with 10″ wheels in the back and 8″ wheel in the front. These are large wheels for such a lightweight stroller. Although it is not an all-terrain, it can definitely tackle some terrain like grass, gravel, or uneven sidewalk. The large basket underneath the seat can fit a lot of groceries and there is also a small pocket for mommy items like wallet, keys and cell phone.

The Snap is full of great features like roomy seat, large canopy, flip-flop friendly brake, and an easy two-hand fold. It has one-hand infinite recline that goes to almost a flat position. The seat can hold a child from birth and up to 44 lbs. You can even convert this stroller into a travel system by using it with a car seat. It works with most popular car seats like Graco, Peg Perego, Britax Chaperone, Maxi Cosi Mico, and Chicco.

I gave this stroller 4.5 out of 5 stars. I did take some points off because of the non-adjustable handle bar, mesh window closure, no swing-away bumper, and the cheap-feel fabric. It’s also not as stable because of it’s light weight. This might be a problem especially if you like to hang stuff on the handle bar like I do. LOL . It retails for around $249 on Amazon (free shipping/free returns and no sales tax). The price vary depending on the year and the color.
