Jané Trider Extreme Stroller Review 2014

jane_trider_extreme1Jané Trider Extreme is a luxury all-terrain stroller that is great for long walks in the park or even light jogging. The hard rubber wheels and all-wheel suspension system with adjustable shock absorbers will provide your child with a smooth ride not matter how rough the terrain gets. The reversible seat sits higher on the frame promoting better bonding and communication at an early age. It also can be used a high chair when you are out and about. It also features large canopy, 5 point harness, adjustable handle bar, and adjustable leg rest. I really like the hand brake instead of the foot brake. No shoe scratches! All this goodness has a weight of 33 lbs.

The fold is very compact for an all-terrain stroller, so you should be able to fit it even into a small trunk. To make it even more compact you can remove the seat and the rear wheels. The seat can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 40 lbs. You can easily convert Trider into a travel system by purchasing a car seat adapter. You can also turn it into a pram by replacing the seat with a bassinet (sold separately).

The Rider Extreme has a very sporty and sleek design. It comes in two colors: blue and red. The red is my favorite because of the gorgeous red metallic frame that matches the color of the seat. The blue one is not bad too, it comes with a gray metallic frame. The blue one has a writing on the leg rest that says “Get your energy back”. I think I will get my energy back only when my daughter Sophia goes to school. LOL. I get no break from her. She is a VERY active toddler.

Jané Rider Stroller Review 2014

jane_rider1Jané Rider is a new luxury stroller from a Spanish company ‘Jané’. It’s designed for everyday use like going to a shopping mall, grocery store, or walking in the park. It rolls on four hard rubber wheels with 6″ wheels in the front and 10″ wheels the back. The Rider model performs best on flat surfaces, but can also tackle some ‘mommy terrain’ like grass, gravel, or mulch. The rear suspension with adjustable shock absorber will provide your little one with a comfy ride.

I really like the reversible seat that sits higher on the frame than on most strollers and can be used as a high chair at the cafe or restaurant. By bringing your baby closer to you, it promotes better communication and bonding at early age. The seat has a one-hand lever recline and can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 40 lbs. You can also remove the seat and replace it with an infant car seat by using a car seat adapter (called ‘Link Fix’ on Jané site).

The Rider model looks very sleek. It comes in three beautiful colors with black or silver frame. The seat has a removable seat liner that has a stylish print on it. The unique feature of Rider model is a VERY compact fold. The folding system reduces the size of the stroller by 30% of the unfolded size. It has one of the most compact folds on the market for a full size stroller. And, you can even fold it with the seat attached. Very cool!  The downsize is a narrow basket that they did in order to make it so compact. It also features adjustable handle bar, adjustable foot rest, easy fold and hand brake (so much better than a foot brake). All these goodness weighs 30 lbs.

Joovy Qool Stroller Review

joovy_qool2Joovy Qool is the first luxury stroller released by Joovy. It is a full size stroller designed for everyday use like running errands, going to a mall or grocery shopping. The high-tech four wheel suspension system helps to absorb all of the bumps making your stroller glide over rough areas. The sealed bearing wheels are not all-terrain, but will handle some mommy terrain like grass, grave, or mulch with no problem. It has an outstanding maneuverability and can be pushed with one hand.

The stitched leather on the handle bar and the bumper bar add to expensive feel. The roomy seat is reversible and has a super soft insert that can be removed and washed. It can accommodate a child from 3 months and up to 55 lbs. If you want to use it from birth, you can get a car seat adapter and turn it into a travel system.

The Qool model also features adjustable foot rest, 5 point harness, telescoping handle bar, and flip-flop friendly brake. The canopy is absolutely HUGE! It provides full coverage any time of the day. The cool thing about it is that it weighs only 21.5 lbs!

Contours Bliss 4-in-1 Stroller System Review

contours_bliss15Contours Bliss 4-in-1 Stroller System is the most expensive model in Contours line. This luxury stroller is absolutely amazing! It converts from infant car seat carrier, to pram, to take away carrycot, to a stroller – all in one piece. Since the seat transforms into a carrycot, you don’t even need to purchase a separate bassinet (unlike many other strollers with a bassinet option).

I really like that you can bring the carrycot inside of the house without waking up the baby and use it as another sleeping place. The seat is also reversible and comes with an insert that will provide your newborn with extra support.

The Bliss designed for everyday use like taking a walk in the park, grocery shopping, or going to the mall. A large basket will fit a lot of groceries while never-flat tires with front wheel suspension will provide your little one with a smooth ride. Although it’s not an all-terrain stroller, the wheels are large enough to tackle some mommy terrain like grass, mulch or gravel. The Bliss also features a large canopy, adjustable handle bar, flip-flop friendly brake and easy fold. While it does not have the most compact fold, you can make it less bulky by removing the wheels and the seat. All this goodness weighs 24.8 lbs which is average for a full size stroller.

Stokke Scoot Stroller Review 2013

stokke_scoot1Stokke Scoot is a new versatile luxury stroller that is designed for on-the-go parents who live in an urban environment. It features roomy padded seat, adjustable foot rest, and one-hand fold. One of the main selling features of Scoot is its reversible seat that is positioned higher on the frame allowing for the child to be closer to you and promoting a better bonding. You can also use it as high chair at the cafe.

Although the recline is very deep and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 45 lbs, I would recommend getting an insert for a newborn. You can also turn it into a travel system by getting a car seat adapter.

The Scoot’s frame is narrower than on average stroller (only 21″) and it can do a 360 degree turn with a push of one finger, which makes it perfect for public transit, navigating busy streets and narrow doorways. The large basket can fit a lot of groceries in case you decide to go shopping. The large canopy with the ventilation panel will provide plenty of sun protection and great air circulation on a hot summer day. The handle bar can be adjusted for shorter and taller parents.

Quinny Zapp Xtra Stroller Review

quinny_zapp_xtra2The Quinny Zapp Xtra is a sleek modern looking stroller that has one of the most compact folds in the WORLD! It is designed for active parents who live in an urban environment and like to travel a lot. The maneuverability on the Zapp Xtra is absolutely amazing, as long as you stay on the flat surface. It’s great for taking to the mall, shopping center, or airport. It rolls on four 6″ rubber wheels that have a wide wheel base making it very easy to navigate. It would be a one-hand push if it had one handle bar instead of two.

While it’s lightweight, it still has a reversible seat which is very unique for the stroller with such a compact fold. The seat is very roomy and has one-hand recline with three positions. The stroller can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs. You can also turn it into a travel system by using it with the car seat. The Zapp Xtra has been recently updated and now can fold with the seat attached where before you had to remove the seat before folding.

I gave this stroller 3.5 out of 5 stars because it has very small basket, just ok canopy, and non-adjustable handle bars. My main problem is the weight which is 19 lbs. It is too heavy for an umbrella stroller, but is missing some features to be a full size stroller.

In my opinion Zapp Xtra is somewhere between an umbrella and full size. It does have a very compact hold, but who is going to carry 19 lbs on their shoulder or in one hand? There are many other really light (like 11 lbs) strollers full of features that are much better for traveling and everyday use. This is just my two cents…

Quinny Moodd Stroller Review

quinny_moodd1The Quinny Moodd is a modern luxury stroller that has a unique frame and seat design. It reminds me of a cool office chair with an egg-shaped seat. LOL. This stroller is definitely a head turner! I was lucky to test the Moodd by Britto model and in real life it looks like an amazing piece of art and not a stroller. The frame and the bumper bar are all covered with bright colorful design making it stand out from the crowd. :)

Aside from sleek design, it has a reversible seat, adjustable foot rest, telescoping handle bar, double parking brake, and one-hand recline. It has easy fold and one-touch AUTOMATIC unfolding! Very innovative and inspiring. The maneuverability on the Moodd is amazing. With 12″ rear wheels and 7″ front wheel, this buggy can easily handle grass, mulch or gravel with no problems.

The Moodd is a 3-in-1 travel system that can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs.  You can turn it into a travel system by removing the seat and replacing it with an infant car seat or turn it into a pram by replacing it with a carrycot/bassinet (sold separately).
