Mamas & Papas Sola Stroller Review

papas_and_mamas_sola1Mamas & Papas Sola is a luxury stroller designed for urban lifestyle. It’s perfect for on-the-go parents who likes to run errands, go to the park or mall. The maneuverability on Sola is great as long as you stay on a flat surface, since it is not really made for the rough terrain.

The roomy seat has a one-hand recline and is reversible, so your child can face you or the world. This stylish model has also features like adjustable leg rest, all-wheel suspension, adjustable handle bar, and flip-flop friendly parking brake.

The Sola can be used from birth and up to 50 lbs. You can also convert it into a travel system, by replacing the seat with a car seat or turn it into a pram by purchasing a carrycot/bassinet accessory. It weighs 22 lbs and comes in 7 beautiful colors with cool prints inside of the canopy. Very sleek and modern looking stroller!

I gave this stroller 4.5 out of 5 stars because while I really liked the seat, the canopy can use some improvement. Also, the basket is large, but not as deep as in other strollers. I personally like to go grocery shopping (often resulting in a full basket of stuff I didn’t even know I need. LOL. Story of my life). The lowest price I was able to find for Sola model was $399 on Amazon (free shipping/free returns and no sales tax. There is NO cup holder, but it does come with a rain cover and a bumper bar.

Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan Stroller Review

buggy_cosmopolitan13Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan is a luxury slick modern stroller that is designed for parents who live in a city. Its main feature is a reversible seat that allows your child to look at you or the world. It also converts into a FLAT BED for a newborn, so you don’t even need to buy a bassinet. It is a very compact stroller with an easy fold. The all-wheel suspension and Aerotech tires, create an amazing  maneuverability and provide a smooth ride.

Although it’s not an all-terrain stroller, it can easily tackle playground mulch, grass in the park, or gravel. This stroller is full of great features like a large canopy, adjustable foot rest, and a huge basket that can handle 22 lbs of stuff!

The Cosmopolitan weighs 26 lbs which is quite average for a full size luxury stroller with a reversible seat. It can be used from birth and up to 44 lbs. Since the seat is removable, you can use it as a frame by taking the seat out and replacing it with a car seat.

It gets a perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars from me because it is almost perfect. The only thing that needs improvement is its non-adjustable handle bar. I also wish it was not as bulky and weighed a little less.

The Cosmopolitan retails for around $549 on Amazon (free shipping/free returns and no sales tax). It doesn’t come with any accessories except for the bumper bar. I wish the cup holder was included. There is also no pram option, but I guess you don’t really need it since the seat converts into a flat bed.

Bugaboo Bee Stroller Review

bugaboo_bee2Bugaboo Bee is a luxury stroller that is the lightest model in the Bugaboo collection. Parents love it for its great maneuverability, easy fold, and reversible seat option. You can take to the mall, doctor’s office or public transit with no problems. It is very compact and is designed for on-the-go parents who live in an urban environment and who has a LOT of money. Since it rolls on small 6″ wheels, don’t expect it to do well on grass or mulch. The Bee model is designed for flat surfaces ONLY!

The seat has almost a flat recline so you can use it from birth and up to 37.5 lbs. You can also use it as a frame by removing the seat and replacing it with an infant car seat (you will need to purchase a car seat adapter compatible with your car seat). Weighing 18.5 lbs, the Bee model is somewhere in between a regular stroller and the umbrella stroller. I think it is a little too heavy to be an umbrella stroller and at the same time, the wheels are too small for a full size one. However, it costs like two full featured size strollers. LOL.

Peg Perego Book Plus Stroller Review

peg_perego_book_plus1When I saw Peg Perego Book Plus for the first time, it blew me away! It is a new generation stroller that has a reversible seat, large basket and a canopy to die for. The canopy is so big, that it goes all the way down to a foot rest covering your child completely!

The seat has a totally flat recline making it great for newborn. What I really love is that if you lift the foot rest and completely recline the seat, you can create a bassinet environment for your baby by using an INCLUDED foot muff. You don’t even need to get a bassinet! You can also turn it into a travel system be replacing the seat with an infant car seat. There is also a bassinet option for parents who want a pram.

Another important feature of Book Plus is an easy ONE-HAND FOLD. Everybody loves the way City Mini and B-Agile folds. Who want’s to bend down to the ground to fold it? Well, Book Plus has the same type of fold. It folds like a book! LOL. You can have a child in one hand and fold it with the other. It weighs 22 lbs, which is an average weight for a reversible-seat stroller with so many features.

The big wheels and all-wheel suspension help to smooth out the bumps. You can take this stroller for a walk in the park, grocery store, or doctor’s appointment. The maneuverability is great! You can easily navigate the store by pushing it with one hand. Although it is not an all-terrain stroller, the wheels are big enough (7″ and 10″) to handle grass, playground mulch or uneven pavement. It is very practical stroller that will grow with your baby. You can use it from birth and up to 45 lbs.

Britax B-Ready Stroller Review

britax_b_ready2Britax B-Ready is a luxury stroller that gain popularity because of the reversible seat and the ability to transform into a double inline stroller with an addition of the second seat. You can also easily turn it into a travel system by getting a car seat adapter or you can use it as a frame by replacing the seat with an infant car seat or a bassinet. It has over 14 different seat combinations! This stroller grows with your family and is perfect if you are planning on having a second child in the near future.

B-Ready is designed for flat surfaces. You can take it to the park, run errands or go to the mall, but it will feel bumpy if you try to tackle grass, mulch or gravel. It is not an all-terrain stroller. The maneuverability is great even with both seats fully loaded.

It’s full of features like large accessible basket, nice canopy, adjustable handle bar, and adjustable foot rest. The foam filled rubber wheels will never go flat and all-wheel suspension will provide your child with a smooth ride. B-Ready is very stable and will not tip over even with a heavy child climbing into a 2nd smaller seat. It is a great double stroller, but if you are going to use it ONLY as a single, it is not the best choice. It weighs about 27 lbs in a single mode and 36 lbs in double.

I gave it 5 out of 5 stars because it’s almost perfect. As you probably noticed, I rarely give a stroller 5 stars, but I think B-Ready is a great solution for parents who are planning on heaving a second child. The only thing I would change is a handle bar, would like to see a telescoping one. That’s it! It is on the heavier side, but I don’t think they couldn’t made it any lighter without it being unstable with the second seat. The price ranges anywhere from $360 – $499 depending on the color and the seller. I found it on Amazon for $399 (free shipping/free return and no tax). Keep in mind, the price vary depending on the color.

Baby Jogger City Versa Stroller Review

city_versa1Baby Jogger City Versa is a luxury stroller that combines features from City Mini and City Select models. Its main feature is a reversible seat, meaning your baby can face you or the world. Other convenient features include large canopy, adjustable handle bar, hand parking brake and easy one-hand fold. And like most luxury strollers, Versa has an adjustable foot rest.

This is NOT a jogging stroller. It’s designed for everyday use like running errands, going to the store or doctors appointment. The all-wheel suspension and 8″ rubber tires absorb a lot of the bumps creating a smooth ride for your little one. Weighing 26.2 lbs with a max weigh of 50 lbs, City Versa looks like a smaller and lighter version of the City Select model. But, it is still heavier than City Mini that weighs only 16 lbs. There is NO double version.
