🏅Mom’s Picks: Top 20 Best Strollers

I can’t believe that 2020 is here already and it’s time to post my top 20 list of best strollers again! Where did the year go?! I feel like it’s getting harder and harder each year to keep my list down to only 20 models because there are so many new brands and models that I want to share with you.

It’s always a choice between something new and exciting that haven’t been tested yet or the updated popular models that have been around for years.

I would probably go with updated oldies but goodies because for me the quality of the stroller is THE most important feature and since the model has been around for a long time there are tons of reviews from parents and the company has already worked out all the bugs.

Mom’s Picks: Top 10 Best Jogging Strollers

Keeping an active lifestyle after having a child was a big challenge for me. It’s so easy to find excuses and skip a day or two or a week. There is always so many things to do. That being said, I found that the best way to keep active is to invest into a good jogging stroller. That way, your child gets outdoor time and you get your an exercise in.

Joggers come with swivel or fixed front wheel. Swivel wheel (that can be locked straight) allows you to easily turn when needed. With the fixed wheel, every time you want to turn, you need to lift up the front wheel.

If you are using it as your main stroller for walking at the park, grocery shopping, running errands and etc., you need to get a swivel wheel. If you are a hardcore jogger that has other strollers and will be using it only for jogging, go with a fixed one.

Most parents buy a swivel-wheel jogger that they can use for fitness or everyday life because most of us don’t have extra money and space to keep so many strollers (except for me who has 5 strollers at the moment… God, I really need to get rid of some).

Of course there are benefits and drawbacks of having a jogger as your main stroller. On the plus side, the large air-filled tires together with suspension can go over ANY terrain while providing the SMOOTHEST ride for you child. The seat on a jogger is very roomy and has high weight limit that can accommodate an older toddler. Some even have it up to 75 lbs (which is till college. LOL). Most of them have a travel system option so you can use it from birth. Of course you have to wait till your baby is at least 8 months before jogging.

Mom’s Picks: Top 10 Best Lightweight Strollers

Are you ready to ditch your bulky travel system that you spent a fortune on? LOL. Don’t feel bad. Most parents are trying to downsize after the first year. Traveling and running errands will be a breeze if you can throw your stroller over a shoulder or toss it into a trunk of the car.

If you are still hunted by the nightmares of choosing a stroller and dreading the moment of starting the whole research process all over again, you came to the right place. I have a great list for you of top 10 lightweight strollers that are the BEST on the market right now.

Unlike some other sites that have never seen or tested anything, I’ve tested all of them myself and also read all of the reviews from other parents.

My list below has a good mix of umbrella and compact lightweight models under 15 lbs that are great for on-the-go lifestyle. I will be updating this list on a regular basis as soon as I see better models.

And here is my ‘Top 20 Best Strollers For 2018‘ list which has models from all the categories.

BTW, I’ve noticed that non-umbrella models are becoming more and more popular among the parents. If you ask me, I do like non-umbrella models more too because they usually have more manageable squire fold, larger basket and single handle bar that is definitely better for one-hand navigation. Also, many of them now can be turned into a travel system unlike umbrella models.

Mom’s Picks: Top 20 Best Strollers for 2017

cover1-banner-300x350Each year I put together a list of top new strollers for the year so parents know what new models to expect. But this year I decided to mix it up a little and add some 2016 models too. While I did like new releases for 2017, I feel like most of the interesting models and updates have been introduced last year.

It was a hard job reducing the list to only top 20 buggies since I had to combine everything from 2016 and 2017 together. As you know, sometimes a stroller looks good on paper, but in real life the quality is just not there.

I’ve tested endless amount of strollers and read tons of reviews from parents on the available models before finalizing my list which consist of models from all categories including joggers, lightweight, full size, and convertible buggies.

BTW, here is my ‘Top 20 Best Strollers for 2018‘ post.

All of the winners below are absolutely the BEST strollers on the market right now. All of them are made out of high quality materials, very durable, and reasonably priced for the features you are getting. Keep in mind, I do concentrate on practicality a little more than style. Also, those companies that care about environment and use eco-friendly materials got extra points from me.

Mom’s Picks: Top 25 Best New Strollers for 2016

cover2-300x350Last year many companies introduced a lot of great new models that I absolutely loved, so I thought there is no way this year could be any better. Well, I was wrong! The new strollers for 2016 absolutely blew me away! Luckily, this year I was able to attend the ABC Kids Expo 2015 and see all of the new models firsthand.

There was so much innovation and style! A lot of companies presented interesting collaborations with famous designers bringing us closer to high fashion. And you know me, I love fashion! I also saw a lot of companies using high end materials and fabrics for strollers that are usually used for luxury products.

Matching accessories are becoming more and more popular and are often included. The limited collections are a new trendy thing to do. Some of the matching diaper bags are now made out of high quality materials and might be more expensive than you regular purse!

Top Convertible Strollers Side-by-Side Comparison

reversible-seat-strollersConvertible strollers can be used in a single or double mode. If you are having your first child and planning on heaving a second one in the next three years, buying convertible stroller can save you a lot of money.

You can use it as a single with the first child and convert it into a double by adding a 2nd seat. Once the first child gets older and doesn’t need a stroller any more, you can remove the 2nd seat converting it into a single stroller again. Very convenient!

Keep in mind, convertible strollers weigh a few pounds more in a single mode because the base of the stroller needs to be larger and heavier to be able to hold two full loaded seats. That being said, I wouldn’t buy a convertible stroller if you are not sure about the second child. Now, if you are having twins, you definitely need one.

Super Compact Travel Strollers Side-By-Side Comparison

travel-strollers1Traveling with children is not a very enjoyable experience to say the least. After our recent trip to the ocean with our three-year-old daughter, my husband said he is not going anywhere till she is 5! LOL. Right….

We thought that by three she will have a little more patience and be able to entertain herself a little better. Nope! Didn’t like the ocean, couldn’t seat in the car for 3 hours, didn’t want to eat any of the stuff we brought, played in the sand for only 5 minutes and started to whine asking to go home.

Oh… Vacation with kids … And this was only a 3 hour drive to the ocean! Can you imagine flying with a three-year-old?

Top Umbrella Strollers Side-By-Side Comparison

all-strollers4The umbrella strollers are great for running errands, traveling, and public transit. They are known for their light weight and compact fold. While some umbrella stroller are a little heavier and can be turned into a travel system, others are lightweight and can be carried over the shoulder.

I think that umbrella models are great as a second lighter stroller. Some with more features can even be your ONLY stroller. Since the wheels on umbrella strollers are on a smaller side ranging from 5″ – 7″, it works best on flat surfaces.

Most models have useless baskets and non-adjustable handle bars. In the past, the canopies were very small, but lately companies are paying more attention to what parents want so the canopy size have increased.

I decided to put together a list of most popular umbrella strollers and give you a side-by-side comparison that should help you decide on what stroller is best for you.
