7 Amazing Budget-Friendly Strollers For Under $200

If you have been reading my blog, you’ve probably noticed that most of my reviews are on expensive strollers.

As a stroller addict, I like luxury strollers that come with all the bells and whistles. In reality, you really don’t have to go broke buying a stroller. There are some very affordable high-quality strollers that are full of great features.

In today’s post, I want to tell you about 7 amazing strollers that you can get under $200. I have tested all of them personally and was very impressed.

Despite the low price, all of them are high quality and have the highest reviews from parents. I did find ALL of the strollers below for under $200 except for the last travel system.

1. Britax B-Agile – $185

The Britax B-Agile is one of the most popular strollers on today’s market. It’s made it to my top 10 strollers list two years in a row and might make it a third time. It’s that good!

This is a very practical stroller that is designed for busy on-the-go parents who run around town a lot. It has a very compact one-hand fold and weighs only 16.5 lbs which is light for a full-featured stroller.

The canopy is absolutely HUGE! It will provide plenty of shade for your little passenger. The deep recline goes to an almost flat position making it suitable for a newborn. The seat is very roomy with plenty of headroom in case you have a tall child. It can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs.

The maneuverability is outstanding! The all-wheel suspension and 9.5″ rear wheels make this a one-hand-push stroller. You will also love features like an adjustable padded 5-point harness,  flip-flop-friendly brake, swivel front wheel, medium size basket, mesh window in the back, and additional storage pocket.

Despite being so light, it still has a travel system capability and even comes with a car seat adapter. This could be your ONLY stroller. You can get it for only $185. The price could vary depending on the color and model year.

2. Joovy Scooter – $139

Joovy has really stepped up this year with the updated Joovy Scooter model. This sporty looking stroller is full of luxury features, but still costs under $200. It’s designed for everyday life. You can take to the playground, mall, grocery shopping or to the park.

It rolls on four hard rubber wheels with front swivel wheels that can be locked straight for rougher terrain. The wheels are medium size and will perform best on flat surfaces, but can handle some terrain like grass, mulch, or gravel.

The roomy seat has a deep recline and can accommodate a child from 3 months and up to 55 lbs. If you want to use it from birth, you can convert it into a travel system.

There is an adjustable handlebar that goes from 29″ up to 42″ which is perfect for shorter and taller parents. The canopy is HUGE! It will provide your child with full sun protection. Scooter has plenty of storage.

Aside from a large underneath basket, it features two mesh seat pockets where your child can store some toys and snacks, one zipper pocket and one mesh pocket on the back of the canopy where parents can store their keys and cell phone, and a cup holder.

To provide your child with even more room to stretch, there is an adjustable leg rest. The Scooter also features an adjustable padded 5-point harness, a large opening in the back for better airflow, an all-wheel suspension, an automatic lock, and a one-step brake.

The fold is very easy and compact. All this goodness weighs 20 lbs. Overall, I think this is a great stroller that can be your ONLY stroller.  You can get in one of the four beautiful colors for around $200. The price does vary depending on the color. The other day I saw it for only $139, which makes an AMAZING deal.

3. Baby Jogger City Lite – $179

Right after hitting the market City Lite became one of the fast-selling and top-rated strollers. It is very similar to beloved City Mini, but is lighter has a smaller footprint, larger rear wheels, better suspension, higher weight limit, and more compact fold. This stroller is designed for everyday including going grocery shopping, mall, park, and traveling.

It’s for an urban environment because it doesn’t take too much storage room and is perfect for navigating crowded streets and narrow store aisles. When using public transit you can easily fold it with just one hand while holding a child.

It weighs only 16 lbs which is 1 lbs lighter than City Mini. Because of its small footprint, compact fold, and lightweight, many parents prefer the City Lite model over an umbrella stroller.

Despite being so light and compact City Lite has a lot to offer. The roomy seat has a deep one-hand strap recline and can accommodate a child from birth and up to 55 lbs. BTW, the seat has more headroom and a higher weight limit than on the City Mini model.

There is a large mesh window in the back that provides nice air circulation on a hot summer day. The canopy is so big they had to put two peekaboo windows on it. I was also very happy to learn that City Lite has travel system capability.

The maneuverability is awesome! The all-wheel suspension and 10″ rear AVA wheels provide a smooth ride. I was pleasantly surprised to see such large rear wheels on such a light stroller. For comparison, City Mini has only 8″ rear wheels.

Although it’s not an all-terrain stroller, because of the large rear wheels and all-wheel suspension, you will be able to take it for long walks at the park with no problems. It handled grass, mulch, and gravel very well when I was testing it. Keep in mind, it’s not a jogging stroller.

As I mentioned above, it has an easy compact one-hand fold that folds the stroller in half. It also features an adjustable padded 5-point harness, large mesh pocket in the back, automatic lock, and medium size basket.

Overall, it’s a fabulous stroller that could be your ONLY stroller. Another great thing about it is the price! It cost only $179. It comes in three different colors with a black frame.

-Lightweight-Non-adjustable handlebar
-One-hand fold
-Compact fold
-Travel system option
-All-wheel suspension
-From birth
-Large canopy
-Deep recline
-Roomy seat

4. Chicco Liteway Umbrella Stroller Review –  $139

This umbrella stroller has been named the best umbrella stroller by many websites because of the combination of features and price. It’s great for traveling, public transit, and quick ins and outs. It has everything parents want in the umbrella stroller like deep recline, medium canopy, roomy seat, and compact fold.

Although it doesn’t have the travel system capability, the seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 4o lbs. The Liteway rolls on four small hard rubber wheels that are designed for flat surfaces.

You will be able to tackle some of the terrain if you lock the front swivel wheels straight. Rear-wheel suspension will absorb some of the bumps making the ride a little smoother.

One of the interesting features of Liteway is a hidden boot that you can use to cover your child on a windy chilly day. It also features adjustable leg rest, adjustable padded 5 point harness, medium size basket, automatic lock, and carry strap. This is a very sturdy umbrella stroller that weighs only 17 lbs.

Good quality jogging strollers are usually very expensive. That’s why I was very happy when Eddie Bauer released Endurance jogging stroller which is a basic budget-friendly model with a lot of great features.

It rolls on three large air-filled tires that can handle any type of terrain. You can take it for long walk in the park, jogging, or a stroll around neighborhood. The front wheel is swivel but can be locked straight for rougher terrain.

It doesn’t have the biggest canopy, but it has a ‘follow-the-sun’ option meaning you can move it down to block the sunlight. The roomy seat has half-way recline, so you can use it only from 6 months and up to 50 lbs. If you want to use it from birth, you can turn it into a travel system.

6. Joovy Groove Ultralight – $189

Joovy Ultralight is one of my favorite umbrella strollers. It’s weighs only 12 lbs, but is full of amazing features. It’s perfect for traveling, running errands, going to the mall or grocery store.

A small footprint and narrow frame allow it to easily navigate crowded stores, narrow aisles and tight elevators. It rolls on four smaller hard rubber wheels that are designed for flat surfaces. The front wheels are swivel but can be locked straight if you are trying to tackle some of the terrains.

The roomy seat has a deep recline and can accommodate a child from 3 months and up to 55 lbs. To give your child even more room to stretch you can lift up adjustable leg rest. There are plenty of storage! Aside from medium size basket, it has zipper pocket and mesh up holder on the back of the canopy and two mesh pockets inside of the seat for your child to place his toys. It also features adjustable 5 point harness, tall handlebars, and easy fold.

You will love how compact and light this stroller is. At 12 lbs, it’s easy to throw it over your shoulder using the attached shoulder strap. There is an automatic lock to keep the stroller folded. This 14 lbs stroller is perfect for running errands, traveling or using public transit. It’s light, compact and easy to navigate. And for that price, you are not going to cry yourself to sleep if it gets damaged on the plane.

The  aluminum frame is lightweight yet very durable. The canopy is HUGE! It has three large panels with zip out extension that blocks 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays. Your child will be completely covered.
