Peg Perego Vela Easy Drive Stroller Review

peg_perego_vela2Peg Perego Vela Easy Drive is a lightweight stroller that is designed for running errands, quick trips to the store, and traveling. It has a good size canopy, large wheels and a big basket. It is very easy to navigate and maneuver with one hand. The roomy seat can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 45 lbs and you can also convert it to a travel system by using Peg Perego car seat. Parents with back problems, like me, will be happy to know that it weighs only 15.8 lbs.

The large wheels and all-wheel suspension helps a little (but very little) to smooth out the bumps. It is an EASY DRIVE, but only if you stay on the flat surface. It is not all-terrain stroller and it doesn’t handle uneven pavement, grass or mulch that well. It is ok for a short 15 min walk in the park, but not anything longer than that. After a while (about 20 min), I usually get tired of pushing it.

Britax B-Nimble Stroller Review

britax_b_nimble1Britax B-Nimble is a lightweight umbrella stroller that has a lot of great features of a full size stroller and can be transform into a travel system, which not many umbrella strollers can do. It has a very roomy seat with a deep recline and a weight capacity of 55 lbs.v The B-Nimble rolls on hard rubber 5.5″ wheels and performs best on the flat surface.

Now, this is not an all-terrain stroller, so you will have difficulties going over grass, mulch or gravel. It’s great for on-the-go parents who likes to go to the mall, grocery store, or to run errands around town. It weighs only 14 lbs and can be carried over the shoulder by using an attached strap. Other features include adjustable foot rest, easy fold, and lot of storage. It also comes with a number of accessories like cup holder, car seat adapter, adapter strap, and rain cover.

Bumbleride Flite Stroller Review

bumbleride_flite1Bumbleride Flite is an amazing umbrella stroller that weighs only 14 lbs, but has a lot of features of a regular stroller. That’s right! Even though it is an umbrella stroller, you get a large canopy, roomy seat, deep recline, all-wheel suspension, adjustable footrest, and an INCLUDED car seat adapter so you can convert it to a travel system. Not many umbrella strollers have such a deep recline (many don’t recline at all) and a very few can covert into a travel system. BTW, this is the lightest stroller in the Bumbleride collection.

The seat is made out of high quality eco-friendly material that is a blend of bamboo and nylon fabrics (it  feels expensive). It’s a very sturdy and stable stroller that is designed for urban lifestyle. You can take it to the mall, doctor’s office, or for a stroll around the neighborhood. For parents that travel a lot, this is one of the BEST strollers currently on the market.

While Flite will handle off-road terrain better than your usual umbrella stroller, it is NOT made for all-terrain. It has small rubber wheels that do better on flat surfaces. The all-wheel suspension system will absorb bumpy urban sidewalks with ease making it a smooth ride. Double option is NOT available for Flite.

I gave this stroller 5 out of 5 stars because it’s perfect! For once I don’t have anything bad to say. The basket is small, but I don’t think it can be any bigger without effecting the compact fold. it

Bumbleride Flyer Stroller Review

bumbleride_flyer13Bumbleride Flyer stroller is so popular because of its reversible handle bar that gives your child ability to face you or the world. Weighing 19 lb, this stroller is somewhere in between an umbrella stroller and a regular stroller.

The problem I have with it, is that there is a not enough storage and the wheels are too small for a regular stroller. At the same time, it is too heavy (19 lbs) and too big for an umbrella stroller. You really can’t carry it over the shoulder like you normally would with an umbrella stroller.

Flyer is designed for flat surfaces like mall, sidewalks, doctor’s office or airport. It is very difficult to push over uneven terrain like grass, gravel or mulch. This is definitely NOT all-terrain stroller.

It does have a lot of great features like large canopy, adjustable foot rest, roomy seat, and easy fold. But the main reason why people buy is the REVERSIBLE handle bar. For some people facing their child is the most important feature in the stroller. It’s a HUGE selling point, and they are willing to overlook the weight and small wheels. If you want a lighter stroller with a lot of features, I would suggest City Mini or Britax B-Agile since tehy weigh only 16 lbs. Bumbleride Indie is another great option. It weighs almost the same at 20 lbs, but is a jogging stroller that will go through anything no matter how rough the terrain gets.
