Muv Gaan 2016 Stroller Review

The Muv is a new European company that has recently entered US market. They’ve presented two new strollers called Reis and Gaan at the ABC Kids Expo 2015. Since this was the first time I saw them, I can only give you a brief overview of the main features.

Both strollers are very similar, but have different number of wheels. Reis rolls on four wheels while Gaan has only three. Let’s take a look at Gaan.

The Gaan model rolls on three large EVA foam filled wheels that are 12″ according to the Muv site. When I measured the wheels at the Expo, they were only 10″. If you look at the photo, they really don’t look 12″ because 12″ are really large tires. I think they’ve made a mistake.

Anyways, Gaan model is full of great features like huge canopy with 6 mesh windows, adjustable telescoping handle bar, huge basket with built-in cooler, easy compact fold, automatic lock, all-wheel suspension, and one-hand deep recline suitable for a newborn. You can also use it as a travel system.

Gaan comes with a bumper bar, cup holder, and bassinet. It comes in five colors with a choice of two frame colors. It’s available right now and retails for around $680 – $750 on Amazon.

-Huge canopy. The canopy is a great size with 3 large panels and 6 mesh windows. It goes down all the way pass the pumper bar providing plenty of sun protection.

-Reversible seat. t is 13.5″ wide with 19″ seat back and a measurement of 25″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy. It has one-hand lever recline that goes to almost flat position suitable for a newborn. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs.

-Adjustable handle bar. It telescopes out from 39″ all the way up to 41″ from the ground. I like the nice faux leather cover.

-Swing-away bumper bar. INCLUDED!

-5-point harness. It has an adjustable padded 5-point harness with a center release buckle.

-Large basket with a cooler. This is something you don’t see every day! The built-in coller will keep your drinks and food cold while you go on the stroll. The basket is really big and easy to access.

-Brake. It has one-step brake with color indicator. It’s flip-flop-friendly.

-Wheels. It rolls on three 10″ never-flat foam filled wheels with the swivel front wheel that can be locked straight. These wheels are great! . Take it to the park, beach, uneven sidewalk – they can go through anything.

-All-wheel suspension. This all-wheel suspension is like the one you would find on a jogger and not the umbrella strollers, so the ride is very smooth.

-Compact fold. `The fold is easy and as compact as it could be for the full size stroller like this. It has an automatic lock.

-Bassinet. INCLUDED! I really like that it comes with a bassinet.

-Cup holder. INCLUDED!

-Travel system option. The Gaan can be turned into a travel system by replacing the seat with Muv Kussen infant car seat. It works with Gaan and Reis model without any adapters. You can also get an universal car seat adapter that works with most popular brands.

Where to buy it

My favorite place to buy strollers and a lot of other baby items is Amazon. It usually has the lowest prices, free shipping, free returns and no sales tax. How great is that? You can get Muv Gaan in one of the five beautiful colors for around $680 – $750 on Amazon. It comes with a cup holder, bumper bar and a bassinet.

  1. Hi Susan!

I have been frequenting your site daily as your reviews are so in depth and helpful!! FTM and trying to decide on a stroller for baby boy due in July :) Having such a hard time figuring out what stroller to get, have yet to come across a stroller that fits all my criteria – not sure its even possible! Hoping you can help. I live in a residential area – will be taking baby on lots of walks on uneven pavement, beach, parks, town so I wanted an all terrain with good storage and preferably under 25lbs. I didn’t think i needed a reversible seat but now that Ive been looking at them I am beginning to feel like it may be a nice option? The strollers I am debating between right now are the Muv Gaan, Nuna Mixx (hate that its only compatible with Nuna car seats though as I already have a Chicco Ketfit!) and The 2016 Bumbleride Indie – completely in love with the look and vibe of it but not reversible! Seeing how none of these are in stores near me I cant decide by test driving so am hoping you can give me some insight!!

    Thanks so much

  2. Hi! Just bought the gaan. There’s not cup holder, the recline is not one hand, and not suitable for a newborn on no way!
