2015 Mamas & Papas Armadillo XT Stroller Review

armadillo-xt-stroller2If you are confused by all the Armadillos running around, you are not along. Mamas & Papas decided to take over the stroller market by making every kind of Armadillo possible. They are only missing a jogger at this point. LOL. Anyways, there are total of five different models in Armadillo series: Armadillo, Armadillo XT, Armadillo CityArmadillo Flip, and Armadillo Flip XT. BTW, here is my full side-by-side comparison.

Some of you might haven’t heard of the XT addition because Mamas & Papas haven’t advertise it as much. They quietly added XT and Flip XT to the line of Armadillos without really creating a big splash. This really surprised me since XT and Flip XT are both long-awaited strollers for 2015.

At this point you are probably wondering how Armadillo XT different from the regular Armadillo. Well, it has some great updates like mesh in the canopy for better air flow, larger wheels that can handle more terrain, adjustable handle bar for shorter and taller parents and new sporty design on the canopy.

Just like the original model it features roomy seat, very deep one-hand recline, large basket, supersized canopy, adjustable leg rest, all-wheel suspension, flip-flop friendly brake, automatic lock, standing fold, travel system option, and very compact one-hand fold. You can also turn it into a travel system. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 5o lbs. With all these upgrades XT weighs only 20 lbs. Sounds like a perfect stroller? It might be! This could be definitely your ONLY stroller.

Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip XT Stroller Review

armadillo-flip-xt2The Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip XT is finally here! I’ve been getting a tons of emails from parents asking me about Flip XT model and how it is different from the original Flip.

So, I was very exited to test it out. In case you are getting lost with all the Armadillos out there, there are five different models in Armadillo series: ArmadilloArmadillo XTArmadillo CityArmadillo Flip, and Armadillo Flip XT. Here is my full side-by-side comparison.

The Armadillo Flip XT is a lightweight compact stroller with a reversible seat that is very similar to the popular Armadillo Flip model, but has some extra features.

Many parents complained about Armadillo and Armadillo Flip not having any mesh in the canopy. Well, XT does! It has a full zipped mesh panel in the back that provides better air circulation on a hot summer day. The wheels on XT are also a little larger than on original Flip. It rolls on 6.5″ in the front and 9″ in the back. Great for mommy terrain like grass, playground mulch, or gravel.

Mountain Buggy Nano Stroller Review

mountain-buggy-nano1The Mountain Buggy Nano is the best travel stroller ever made! I’ve tested a lot of different stroller and I can tell you for sure that Nano beats them all when it comes to traveling. It’s super light, super compact, and you can even turn it into a travel system!

I know, it’s hard to believe that this 13 lbs stroller can handle a car seat. But that’s not all. It’s so compact it can even fit into an overhead luggage compartment on a plane. How great is that?

If you’ve been reading my reviews, you probably know that I have a bad back, so for me the ability to place my child from the plane straight into a stroller is a life saver, or I would even say a back saver. LOL. Once you unfold this tiny little package, it turns into a regular size stroller.

This is a great buggy for going to the mall, grocery store, doctor’s office, theme parks and using public transit. While it’s perfect for traveling and running errands around town, I would’t really recommend it for long walks at the park, because of the small wheels.

2015 UPPAbaby Cruz Stroller Review

uppababy-cruz-2015-1As you all know for 2015 UPPAbaby has updated its line of strollers. While 2015 Vista got a whole face lift, the Cruz got new larger rear wheels and now comes with included bumper bar. That’s all. Everything else stayed the same. The whole UPPAbaby line of strollers have new pretty colors to choose from.

The Cruz is full of great features like reversible seat, deep one-hand recline, large canopy with a big pop-out sunvisor, x-large basket, adjustable padded 5-point harness, adjustable leg rest, adjustable handle bar, flip-flop friendly brake, and all-wheel suspension. Despite the larger wheels, the weight stayed the same at 22 lbs. I don’t know how they did it.

The Cruz is a great stroller for urban lifestyle. The x-large basket is perfect for grocery shopping. The narrow frame (22″ wide) allows you to fit through tight doorways, down narrow aisles, along crowded city sidewalks and rocky garden paths with ease. The all-wheel suspension and AirGo wheels mimic the cushioned ride of air filled tires providing your child with a smooth ride.

The deep almost flat recline can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs. For a newborn you can transform it into a pram by replacing the seat with bassinet (sold separately) or you can turn it into a travel system by replacing the seat with an infant car seat. The UPPAbaby Mesa car seat plugs right into the Cruz without any adapters. It’s a great car seat btw.

Nuna Mixx Stroller Review

nuna-mixx13The new Nuna Mixx is a new HOT stroller in town! I’ve been getting tons of emails every day asking me to write a review. Well, here it is! More and more parents want a stylish reversible seat stroller that all-terrain wheels, large basket, is more or less compact, and is not too heavy.

Well, Nuna Mixx has all these features and then some. It is a full size stroller with a reversible seat and all-terrain wheels.

This sleek looking buggy has roomy seat, adjustable handle bar, reversible seat, very deep recline, flip-flop friendly brake, no-re-thread harness, and adjustable leg rest.

The basket is absolutely huge! You can fit two large diaper bags in it. Another feature that I really like is that you can create a bed-like environment for you child by lifting the leg rest and reclining the back of the seat absolutely flat.

Many reversible seat strollers have a ‘v’ shape seat leaving your child always in the sitting position. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs. The large canopy with a pop-out sunvisor will provide your child with plenty of sun protection.
