BOB Ironman Stroller Reivew

bob_ironman_strollerBOB Ironman is a lean, mean running machine. LOL. This stroller is designed for serious joggers who are training for long-distance events. BOB Ironman has been selected to be the OFFICIAL stroller of the Ironman Triathlon which is a long-distance race that is organized by the World Triathlon Corporation and held in Hawaii. Do I need to say more?

This is not for those of us who want to lose some baby weight (count me in :)). If you are thinking, hm… maybe I should start running like those moms I saw in the park… Nope. Not for you. If you are a runner, you know you are a runner. This is not an everyday stroller that you can take to the mall or walking on the trails. It is a hard core running and jogging stroller. BOB Ironman has large 16″ aluminum wheels that will go over any uneven road providing a smooth ride. The fixed front wheel maintains stability at all times during jogging.

BOB Revolution Pro 2016 Stroller Review

bob-revolution-pro-2016-15In 2015 BOB has released two new jogging strollers Revolution Flex and Revolution Pro that were an upgrade to the beloved Revolution SE. So I was a little surprised to see changes this year. I mean, why not wait till your product is ready instead of releasing it and then upgrading it a few months later?

Anyways, the 2016 updates included: more upright seat, larger basket, better brake (still not flip-flop-friendly), higher weight limit of 75 lbs, redesigned frame, updated quick-release of the front and the rear wheels, and simpler recline. All these upgrades pushed the weight of the Pro to 30.5 lbs. Heavy!

I am sure parents are pretty confused about the changes and the models. To make it easier for you, the Flex 2016 and Pro 2016 are almost identical except for the different colors, stroller weight, and the hand brake on the Pro model. That’s it! Everything else is the same.

Both models also feature huge canopy, roomy seat, large basket, amazing suspension system, large air-filled tires, easy fold, and adjustable 5 point harness. The large basket underneath the seat is not the only storage. It also has two mesh pockets inside of the seat for your child to store his toys and a large mesh pocket in the back for parents to store their essentials. The seat can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 75 lbs. If you want to use it from birth you can turn it into a travel system by purchasing a car seat adapter. It works with most popular car seats.

BOB Revolution Flex 2016 Stroller Review

bob-revolution-flex2016-16I was a little surprised to see 2016 updates to the BOB Revolution Flex and Pro models since they have been just released last year. I think BOB should’ve waited a little and included all of the updates this year instead of releasing a new version two years in the row. This creates a lot of confusion.

Let me start by saying that Flex and Pro models is an upgrade to the beloved Revolution SE. The 2015 upgrade was only in the adjustable handle bar and an added hand brake to the Pro model. That’s it!

For 2016 we have a lot more stuff like: easier recline system, more upright seat, larger basket, improved brake system, higher weight capacity of 75 lbs, new frame design, improved quick-release of the front and back wheels, and new colors. Because of the new frame design the weight of the Flex model has also increased from 26.2 lbs to 28.5 lbs.

Both Pro and Flex models feature a large canopy, large air-filled tires, state of the art adjustable suspension system, adjustable front wheel tracking, adjustable handle bar, additional storage, and easy fold. It can also be converted into a travel system with an infant car seat adapter. The good thing is that it works with the most popular car seats.

Quinny Reversible Seat Jogging Stroller Review

quinny-2016-jogger17At the ABC Kids Expo 2015 Quinny has introduced a new jogging stroller for 2016 with a reversible seat. This model, I don’t have the name, has a fixed front wheel and uses Moodd frame.

From what I heard there will be an option to switch the wheels between the models. But, I am not sure.

I have very little info about this stroller since the staff at the Quinny booth was very unhelpful. They were way too busy to show me the stroller and didn’t want to answer any questions. Also, they asked me not to touch the display model when I wanted to see how it folds so I can snap a few pictures for your guys.

When I asked for a media kit or some sort of brochure with additional info, I was told they didn’t have any, but I can leave my business card. Talking about great marketing…

Bumbleride Speed Jogging Stroller Review

bumbleride-speed-2016-13The Bumbleride has released a new jogging stroller called Speed. It’s a luxury jogging stroller designed for hardcore joggers.

It rolls on three large air-filled tires that together with all-wheel suspension can handle any kind of terrain. But, the best feature of Seed is a three-speed steering on the front wheel that allows you to choose between 360 degree swivel, locked forward, or 30 degree locked modes. This is a big plus since most joggers have only swivel and locked modes.

It also features: large canopy, large basket, easy one-step fold, deep recline, adjustable handle bar, and roomy seat. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 65 lbs (basically till college. LOL). This baby weighs only 24 lbs, which I think is pretty light for a hardcore jogger.

For 2016 Bumbleride has changed their fabrics for Speed and Indie models. Before they’ve used 14 recycled plastic bottles and now they are using 28. Their recycled bottles come from Taiwan which of course makes me wonder if there is a lack of recycled bottles in US. LOL. The fabric is a blend of 50% bamboo charcoal and 50% of recycled bottles. Despite the eco-friendly approach, the material is very nice and soft.

Bugaboo Runner Reversible Seat Jogging Stroller Review

bugaboo-runner21It’s finally here! It’s finally here! I was SUPER excited to review the new Bugaboo Runner. The main feature of this stroller is the REVERSIBLE seat which is a very unique for a jogger.  I’ve been getting tons of emails from parents who want a jogger with a reversible seat. And why not?

Well, finally one of the companies decided to come up with one. Bugaboo Runner is designed for active parents and comes in two versions: 1) as so called extension for those who already own Bugaboo meaning you can just buy the frame and use it with your Bugaboo seat 2) or, as a full stroller meaning you can buy the whole stroller with the seat.

The seat on Runner is very similar to Buffalo seat. It can accommodate a child from 9 months and up to 37.5 lbs. It has the same deep one-hand lever recline, huge canopy, swing-away bumper bar, and adjustable 5-point harness. The basket is large and easy to access.
